  • @ 21flash - google some of McCain's temper tantrums at the press.

If you're interested in how he responds to hard questions.

    Like, say, here:

Also, McCain's a proven liar, if that matters to you.

And he's running with no essential difference than Bush on the Iraq occupation or the economy.

But besides all that, sure, he's great. Oh yeah, and he doesn't know how to use the internet, and he's a friend of lobbyists, and...

  • How is choosing something that *CAN'T HAPPEN*, supposed to fix anything?

That's like saying I can fix my car, by choosing a Lamborghini. That's a fine idea - but it is avoiding my real choices in my current reality.

Why do you need Team Spirit when the players are utterly inadequate and the team management is determined to further folly?

    Because:

    1) this isn't the superbowl - but it IS a game, and

    2) there are only two players who can win, and

    3) our futures depend on the outcome.

I am writing in Hillary Clinton on my ballot in November and there is nothing to stop any other American voter from doing the same.

Sure. There's nothing stopping any American from writing George W. Bush again in, either.

I fully realize that McCain is going to be elected, but I will spend the next four years as I have spent the last eight. Having voted my conscience.

    Awesome!

McCain will not be elected, because he's too lousy and we're a bit too awake right now.

But if he is, then I pray to God that your daughters, nieces, or younger female friends don't have to have back-alley abortions. Or lower pay because of their sex. Or have their children sent off to foreign wars.

But you know and I know that's what he'll push for if he gets in office.

It couldn't be a worse choice than Obama or McCain, could it?

Sure it could be a worse choice.

AND - any vote that isn't for Obama is an effective vote for McCain.

Vote your conscience - but that's the real-world effects, here in the world of reality.

  • @Nancy - almost zero chance? Let's aim for zero - and vote against McCani

There have been many Republican presidents since Roe vs. Wade and none have made more than a dent in the legislation.

    Thanks to the SCOTUS.

At least one justice will probably leave the bench in the next 5-9 years. McCain as President will nominate a conservative SCOTUS judge, for a conservative majority.

    Thank you for playing.
