[Read more letters about this article: Here]Best selling author: There are many best selling authors but not all of them should be President. It isn't as if what he has written were well researched, intellectually challenging, scholarly works.
Agreed. But I was comparing JFK on paper vs. Obama on paper. And author was one of JFK's qualifications.
It isn't like he was born in a log cabin for crying out loud.
Agreed. However he wasn't born on third base either. Therefore that he as able to get this far up in this short an amount of time, I consider a testament to his drive, his passion, his ability to manage a team, and his ability to plan and execute.
You have to admit that he accomplished quite an upset in this primary, overcoming such an incredibly established, well-funded, connected, tough, smart and persevering opponent.
There are many self made men. (and well traveled ones.) There are many self made women as well. They are not all equipped to be President.
Agreed. Obama is just the best equipped of this current lot.
What does a community organizer actually do? I'm serious. I keep trying to find out what that means exactly. What did he do?
Helps organize a community, usually a pretty poor one, to get the resources and attentive representation that they need. I'm sure you can find some more references if you use the google.
"Obama never took part in a trial. He spent most of his nine-year career working as part of a team, drawing up contracts, briefs and other legal papers."
And?
That means he didn't work for a civil rights firm, making half of what he could have doing corporate law?
What's your point?
It seems there are many facts to pay attention to that are often ignored by both his fans and the MSM/cable news outlets... and certainly the blog fancliubs that have turned up.
UH-huh. Like Rezko...where nothing wrong or illegal happened. Or like Ayers...where nothing wrong or illegal happened.
Just google Obama and Harpers and it should come up.
Sounds cool. I'll do that and read all of it, if you google "Clinton" and "lobbyists", or "McCain" and "lobbyists" and "silverado". Agreed?
The point isn't perfection. The point is, getting the best person in the White House that we can, every four years.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]I've never seen anything like it. Their performance in this regard at least matched the Republican hate machines.
Really?
Obama supporters accused Bill Clinton of raping women?
Accused Hillary of killing her friend Vince Foster?
Accused her of thieving, involvement in drug smuggling?
Do I have to remind you of the entire 1992-2000 era?
I have left the Democratic Party after 56 years because I no longer feel at home in a party where an historic woman candidate has been so insulted, not only by her opponents campaign and supporters, but also by so much of its leadership (Pelosi and Clyburn)and too many of its political elected officials.
Please explain *exactly* how Pelosi or Clyburn insulted Hillary.
Even too many her own political supporters weren't willing to grant her a few days to suspend her campaign after losing in a virtual tie.
1. there is no such thing as a "virtual tie". Losing by 1 point is losing.
2. how many other presidential candidates in the last 40 years, have taken more than 1 day to concede a clear primary victory?
If I can, I will vote for McCain.
So....you really would prefer a conservative SCOTUS? Really?
You'd prefer the possibility that young women, such as you once were, could be forced to have abortions in back alleys?
Seriously?

[Read more letters about this article: Here]Obama is a boomer
Technically. But that makes him 8 years old for the Summer of Love, 12 for Nixon's resignation and 19 by the time Reagan gets into office.
So it certainly seems fair to say, that he's less in line with Boomer culture than the Clintons, who came up through the heart of it.
