McCain is certainly a moderate and was considered by most Republicans to be too close to Democrats. Why do you think he has a problem with conservative support? If McCain is a true conservative why did Kerry want McCain as his 2004 veep. You illustrate the problem with this electorate and your ignorance is astounding!

Many of the comments here are factually incorrect and plain ignorant especically the profane and ignorant rant of Christopher Michael Neill trying to spread fear mongering and propaganda against McCain that no reasonable, thinking person would ever believe. Are really an adult? I thought you have to be at least 13 to post.

I agree that Kerry and the rest of the Democrats are lame and Obama is no different. Which is why Republican McCain is the best choice.
I like how little babies who were just in H.S. just a few years ago have the audacity to dictate to others how they should vote. It's not the "Audacity of Hope" it's the "Audacity of Ignorance".

I have a close relationship with my mother and my straight brother never did and for some of the reasons that Sarah alludes to. I talk decorating, musicals, and "The View", ie. with my mother and honestly most straight guys would not. I did not find Sarah essay comical per se, but it is certainly not offensive. If these are Sarah's thoughts and experiencess, then who is anyone to dispute or knock it. Her essay does touch on real and certain truths....Get over it!

Not only do either of these women smack as an affirmative action choice, but that other women seem intent on dragging them down. While Obama is also an affirmative action choice, at least he is supported by his own community. The women's movement has been a farce and Black Power is the winner.

She talks about Palin, but Joan's emotional ranting that Salon considers to be good "journalism". Joan obviously aspires to be another Maureen Dowd, but falls well short of this dubious aspiration. I'd like to elucidate, but there is neither the time or the space to do so right now. Here is my second point:
If Obama wins Whites will be living in a reverse apartheid situation. The liberals who are getting us into this situation are clueless. History demonstrates they get us into trouble with their experimentation . (see Stalinism and Maoism). There is no such thing as colorblindness, or "post-race". Whites will be discrimnated against and marginalized if Obama wins....you mark my words.Obama=Mugabe. African-Americans will let you know who's boss.
I am not a right wing idiot but a left-leaning, educated, advanced degrees and north-eastern bred. You cannot Palin-bash my credentials. Luckily I am living abroad already.

Look at the greatest people in history and tell me how many have a phd?
