Well...
[Read the article: Something to believe in]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]It doesn't matter whether God exists, or what He/She is like. Considering the bloody history we humans have, many done in the name of God, I wonder why He (or She, if you prefer) ever step in and stop the horrific events. Looking at all the horrific events that are still occurring in this world, it should be rather obvious that if we want to solve them, try spend less time wondering if God exists, and actually do something about the problems. The problems in our lives isn't going to be solved by God. In the end of the day, we are the ones that need to get our hands dirty, while God gets all the glory.

What Bush really thinks about the Iraqi lives
[Read the article: A tale of two horrors]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]When I heard GW justified the invasion of Iraq with "we fight them there so that we don't have to fight them here", I think he pretty much summed up his view about how much the Iraqi lives means to him. Let someone else die for the mistakes we made in the past.

funding
[Read the article: The Pentagon's chronic neglect of Iraq vets]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Does anyone know just how much funding has been allocated to veteran cares and how much to the other defense fundings? It seems to me that there has never being shortage of money to other defense spending. I seem to remember hearing how some defense contractors were able to rip-off the American people by over-pricing and sometime double billing their services and product.

My Litmus Test
[Read the article: Mike Huckabee, on a wing and a prayer]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I don't know about anybody else, but for me, a president in the 21st century that still refuses to believe in evolution is pretty much a no go for me. Look at what happened to our country when we have a "faith-based" president in the office. The whole plan for invasion of Iraq was pretty much "faith-based", not reality-based. Do we want another one that would rather talk to God than the leading expert of the field to base his decisions?

Guess Iranians have a lot of freedom
[Read the article: Mitt Romney's ominous verb]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]So, under Romney's logic, Iranians must have a lot of freedom; if he is elected, he is going to bring his brand of freedom into that Oval Office. Next thing you know, to have freedom you must register your religion.

About fair tax
[Read the article: Mike Huckabee wants to abolish the IRS]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Factcheck.org has an article about fair tax. I think it would be helpful to read that article before making up your mind about fair tax.
