The Corporate John and Elsewhere

Cary you're too kind.

After putting up with co-workers who for years insisted that everyone naturally wanted to listen to Paul Harvey at lunch, this has evolved (sorry) to employees who listen to Limbaugh to get fired up. Go by a desk that has a nice display of conservative literature tastefully arranged on their desk. Some Coulter, some Hannity, a nice graphic of abortions performed in the US to date - graphics worthy of USA Today.

Then go to the gym where Fox has to be going on all the TVs and of course at full volume. One isn't enough?

And then you just want to go to the crapper for some solitude...

It is passive aggressive.

Chinese P-3 Incident vs. Iranian Speedboats

I looked through the numerous posts and I didn't see any reference to the April 2001 attack on a US P-3 Orion by the Chinese. As I remember, the plane was forced to land in Chinese territory and the Chinese took control of the aircraft. The US finally got the airplane back but was not allowed to fly it away, rather it had to be disassembled and transported back to the US.

Now this happened on Bush's watch but I don't recall a huge outcry by the Republicans, I don't recall much saber rattling, and big talk then, like I'm seeing from the Republicans over some Iranian speedboats.

Of course the Chinese have nukes and we didn't mess with them - once again proving that if you want the US to leave you alone you gotta go nuclear.

It Must Be SPECTRE!

So let's see, the most secretive US administration has been wiretapping US citizens at will. Who's doing the listening? People like Rove and his cohorts? Why not? Who are they listening to? Suspected terrorists? Members of Congress? Noted Democrats?

Is the Administration suddenly going rise about partisanship when they can tap anybody they want and not have to answer to anyone? What would those resulting dossiers look like? Gee, is blackmail a possibility? How about extortion? Impeachment off the table? A free ride on damn near everything? Some Senator's second cousin twice removed is know to be screwing goats!

Damn, SPECTRE must have won. OMG! Cheney must really be Ernst Stavro Blofeld.

Original article: Pardon the Bush miscreants

Don't Prosecute - and Meet the Next Future Republican Administration

The Iran-Contra players all lived to see another day and some had roles in the Bush Administration. It chaps my ass to see Ollie North running around like some respected member of society.

There will be another Republican Administration sooner or later. I would prefer that they not just take up where they left off with the same personnel. Let them at least have to recruit some new administration members - there won't be a shortage of volunteers I'm sure.
