What Inspires Most

[Read more letters about this article: Here]True enough, the video doesn't shed any light on the Barack Obama's health care plan or his foreign policy positions. And it may not persuade voters to cast their ballots for Obama. But I'm pretty sure those weren't the reasons why Will.i.am made the video. Will.i.am is an artist, and Mr. Obama inspired him to create a work of art. The art may have been intended to inspire others. Maybe not. Most certainly it was intended to communicate to a wider audience that Will.i.am was inspired. I, for one, found it inspiring that Barack Obama communicates such hopefulness that artists find themselves inspired to create. Maybe others will also be inspired. To join the peace corps. To organize a neighborhood. To start a soup kitchen. To paint a mural.
