Gary Kamiya's Review of Robert Fisk

Robert Fisk is neither an anti-Semite nor is he anti-American, he just makes stuff up! In the name of journalistic integrity, I suggest that Gary Kamiya read Fisk's "Pity the Nation" carefully. For anyone who knows anything about the Middle East and does not have an ideological ax to grind, it should be fairly easy to pick up the fabrications.

New Airports

As a frequent traveler to the Middle East, I would like to thank Allah for the new terminal at Ankara's Esenboga Airport. It pales in comparison to Bangkok's new digs, but it is a welcome improvement over the dumpiest terminal of all time. I am also looking forward to the replacement for Cairo's Terminal 1. No one cares, though, since no American carriers fly to these places, which seems strange given the geopolitical importance of both Turkey and Egypt.

Scene in "Earthquake"

Thanks for the great column.
