Handed to him

Obama will get his head handed to him on a platter. If anyone thinks that the Club for Millionairs(The Senate) is going to give up their personal tax havens, then you just haven't been paying attention. Congress's main job is to get themselves reelected. That takes tax-free money from Corporate Masters. Obama and the American people don't stand a chance against these people. I just hope the Secret Service is on high alert. Corporations play for keeps.

Sorry guys, the banks own congress, not you.

Good Grief!

So her example is that abstinance works just not for me? It's way, way past time for we rational people in this country to stand up to these Republican idiots and say WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT???? These people are fools, dolts, semi-literate, not serious, actors. They have been hired by the Republican party(aka corporate America) to shill a line so foolish and unrealistic that it's extremely hard for a rational person to even debate them. How can you debate someone who supports the torturing of detainees in federal custody? It's ridiculous. They are ridiculous. It's time for us to call them what they are: corporate shills.

Surgeon General Warning

The Surgeon General has determined that the Republican Party is harmful to the health of America. Listening and/or following the advise of the Republican party can lead to cancer, liver damage, insanity, and death. Failure to follow this warning will also result in terminal job loss, poverty, and subservience to the ruling class. Children should not be kept within hearing distance of any Republican lest they take on the traits of Republicans including lying, cheating, stealing, adultry, pedophillia, and homophobia.

Ashamed

I am well and truly ashamed to be an American today. Even more that I have been for these last 30 years of Republican rule. This country is seriously sick.

They will find a way

No matter what, congress will find a way to enrich themselves and their families at taxpayer expense. These people are criminals. Democrats, Republicans, Independents, all of them. Criminals in a conspiracy to empty the treasury into their own pockets no matter the consequesces. Until we, the people, rise up and show our government that their extreme anti-democratic, anti-public policies have DIRE consequences for THEM PERSONALLY, we will continue to be treated as so much meat on the hoof to be slaughtered at their whim. Aw, what the hell, nobody even cares anymore. Keep stealing, congress, you make the rules so I guess you can break the rules.

We own nothing

Tim Geithner own them. So what do we do? Bend over and spread 'em.

Nothing

We know these corporations. We know they are bad actors. We know they negotiate in bad faith. We know they will cheat and steal. We know that they have no ethics, humanity, or soul. They are mindless profit machines. Like sharks who live only to eat and mate, these corporations exist only to profit and to consolidate.

They CANNOT BE TRUSTED. EVER. FOR ANY REASON.

To enlist these corporations in reform is like asking the mob to patrol the streets with the full backing of the police. It is an abdication of responsibility.

In the end, we will get nothing. But we are used to that and we are expecting that. So we will make do. With nothing. Like always.

Succumbed

I believe the problem is that the U.S. media has already succumbed to it's role as propaganda catapult for the U.S. government. Reporters only write what they are allowed to write by their corporate Republican overlords. Our society is a class based system. Reporters are not allowed to report on the upper classes and, of course, not at all on any abuse by our government. We will never live in a free society again until we rip our 'free' press from the hands of Republican robber barons. And that, under new cowardly Democratic management, just ain't ever gonna happen.

When is enough enough?

Never, evidently. We sit idly by as our laws are broken and our constitution trashed. When will enough be enough? I guess that whole seperation of powers thing just doesn't work when everyone is a criminal.

Protecting our freedom??????

WTF?? The only people protecting our freedoms are the ACLU and CREW. To not release these photos would be violating a court order. But then again, I guess courts don't matter much when you are the Unitary Executive. And I thought Obama would be different from Bush. Silly me.

Mourning in America

As a post over at Firedog said, I am in mourning. Mourning the loss of a country of laws. A country of justice and balance of power. I may, as she suggests, wear a black armband. Maybe something with an O and a tear coming out of it. We have, it seems, been well and truly betrayed. I am heart sick. I am mourning in America for America.

Face it

We as a nation are being led by a war criminal. The torture has not stopped at Gitmo or Bagram or anywhere else. Reports are that it has increased under Obama's guidence. We are incapable as a country of NOT abusing everything we touch. We will never again see leaders such as FDR and JFK. Those type of people do not exist any longer. Our current president, like our former president is a war criminal as will be the one after and the one after and so on. We are barbarians. This country needs to be put down like a rabid dog. We no longer have the emotional capacity to control such a military. We are the children playing with atomic matches in a drought stricken forrest. This will not end well.

Since when

Since when has anyone enforced the laws on banks? Since 1970 maybe? This bill is bullshit. It will never be enforced. All window dressing for the unwashed masses.
