Welcome to Tyranny

I am so deeply dissappointed in Barak Obama. I am so deeply dissappointed in the Democratic party. Now that the Unitary Executive has been codified by Obama, we should seek to dissolve congress. They obviously have no power over the Unitary Executive so what good can they do? This is a terrible setback for humanity. By shielding torturers, president Obama has become a war criminal. Now we are truly lost as a nation. If I were France, Britian or any ally of the U.S., I would be very wary. A country that professes it can break any law of any land anytime should never be trusted. My America is gone.

I really hope I'm right

Maybe Obama is trying to have these arguments knocked down by the courts. Maybe the only way to kill these theories once and for all is to make the arguments and then have a judge rule that they are nonsense and throw them out. Is that possible? Obama and Holder cannot say they want to lose or the courts would accuse them of misconduct. I really, REALLY, hope I'm right.

"It makes no sense if they are concerned about public health."

It makes perfect sense if they are not. I wonder how many political appointees were running the CDC at the time? How many political appointees are running it now?

If we have to depend on Congress

If we have to depend on Congress to defend us from the Unitary Executive(dictator), we're sunk. As a matter of fact, Congress has proved so corrupt and compliant, it may as well be disolved for all the good it does. We are now at the mercy of a man unafraid to break laws and nullify civil rights. Once again, I'm seeing Xe troop carriers in our future. Disgorging their contents of South African mercenaries into our neighborhoods. To 'keep us safe'. Man, I really thought Obama would be different. Hopelessness overcomes me once again.

Accountability

Obama wants accountability from the 'pirates'. Obama does not want accountability from the torturers and murderers. This is not America. This is no democracy. This is a corporate sponsored dictatorship brought to you by Halliburton, KBR, Bank of America, and CitiCorp. This nation will NEVER EVER recover from Bush and Obama. And as long as Obama reserves the right to kidnapp, imprison, torture, and kill anyone on Earth at any time for any reason, he is a tyrant and we are living under tyranny. Ah, well, what can't be cured must be endured. I'm half expecting the Criminal-in-Chief to nuke Iran just to show the Republicans he's a tough guy. Obama, like Bush, is just another sad, pathetic little man trying to impress the bullies on the playground. How tragic for all of us.

What kind of twisted, warped priorities are those?

The ones that will win in 2010 and 2012 for the Republicans. Remember, never ever underestimate the stupidity of the American voter.

Never underestimate the stupidity of the American voter.

With Obama losing credibility on the left by his embrace of torture, murder and indefinite detention, and with 30% of the nation firmly in the grasp of Republicans, we could see Republicans win big in 2012. I know I can't vote for a torturer and murder for president. Can you?

But in Texas...

We don't believe in 'laws'. The one with the biggest gun is the law here. Or the one with the fattest wallet. This whole state stinks from conservatives. These people believe that killing is Christian and live and let live is communist. It's an ignorant state. If I didn't have to live here I would avoid it like the plague.

WE don't but

We don't but our Unitary Executive does. He will not release the memos. He will not allow investigations. He will not allow prosecutions. Smoke a joint, go to prison. Torture a citizen, get a medal. The United States will never be a democracy again. We cannot trust anyone to restore law when there is so much profit in not doing so. Corporate America controls the Unitary Executive who controls us with the iron fist of the NSA and the US Army. The masses will shrug when it is announced that citizens have no right to know what their own government does to them without their knowledge. Like sheep to a fleecing, Obama will vaccum every last dime out of our pockets and into the coffers of Goldman Sachs. Why? Sorry, citizen, you have no right to know that. Trust us.....

Just Defense

So the 'just following orders' Nueremburg defense WAS legitimate! I wonder how the families of the executed Nazis feel now? So from now on, if some tells you it's legal to murder someone, YOU CAN DO IT and they can't prosecute you. I feel safer already. Thanks, Barry.

Which laws get enforced?

So actually torturing someone is ok, right? As long as a lawyer says it's ok, right? This just makes me sick to my stomach. Obama either enforces the law or he doesn't. Right now it looks like we have a dictator who gets to pick and choose which law he likes and which he does not. This is disgusting behavior from a president. I just can't say what a sad day it is for this nation.

As I understand it,

Barak Obama has made crime legal if you work for the federal government. Torture is legal, wiretapping is legal, conspiring with foreign agents is legal, outing a CIA officer is legal. There is literally nothing you can do to commit a crime if you are a federal employee. We must continue to seek an honest person to run for president. As yet, we have not found even one person who is honest and will obey and enforce the law. Sadly, with 3 1/2 years more of Obama, this country will be destroyed from within by a man who vowed to restore it.
