Arguments and disagreements are fine. You can argue the legalities of the Bush admin all day and night. The bottom line, however, is that Bush, Cheney, Rummy and the rest of the war criminals get to walk away scott free. They will make millions from their corporate banking friends and have laughs watching us all try to put this country back together again. Crime pays. When the next Republican is sworn in, my prediction is that he or she will be the last democratically elected president this country will ever have. They learned from Nixon, practiced under Bush, and will perfect their dark arts under Palin.

expect Obama to give up the Unitary Executive mantle, did you? That would be like giving a soldier a gun and telling him not to kill women and children. It just ain't gonna happen. What I'm really looking forward to is when the Good and Kind Obama is found to be continuing the torture, rendition, bombing, and survellience policies of Bush. I'm betting the impeachment articles are being written as I type.

If you remember anything from the last 8 years remember this; Republicans lie. They lie about the weather, they lie about the law, they lie about their motives, they lie about themselves. Republicans lie. In four years they will tell us they have learned their lesson and now stand for strict conservative policies. That will be a lie. If and when this country elects another Republican president, no matter who it is, the Republican party will do exactly as it did for the last 8 years; loot and pillage the country and the planet. Our only hope of building a nation that will survive is to outlaw the Republican party and shun it's entire leadership. They cannot ever be trusted. Republicans lie.

I can see why you are so enraptured with Sister Sarah. It would seem that you two share the same intellectual capicity as well as the same level of moral equivalence. Birds of a feather. Peas in a pod. Sisters under the skin. When you write from now on, I will hear that irritating nasal 'AHHK' in every word. You are now joined at the hip with the nastiest woman in politics.

They will fail no matter what the government does. You see, these companies are run by Republicans. And just like the banks that we are currently pouring billions into, they will lavish millions on executives and then close up shop. It has become the new American way. Run your company into the ground, get taxpayer money, pay it to yourself, and then close the business anyway. But that is not good politics. Obama will pour more and more money onto the fire while the CEO is pocketing the money and pouring gasoline on that same fire. Remember, all Republicans lie. It's their nature.

Keeping Joe Lieberman in the Dem cacus saves me money. Now I don't have to give to Democratic candidates any more. Yea!!!!

What we're dealing with here is a cornered jackel in the person of Dick Cheney. If Obama talks too much about 'justice', Cheney might just nuke Iran. Obama has to be very careful what he says and does prior to taking the oath. Once he is in, then hopefully the investigations will begin. I'm just saying that Cheney is capable of ANYTHING. Taking out a major American city? Sure. Nuking Iran? You bet. Obama cannot be too careful in this tense period.

In order to break something, that something must be recognized as real. Republicans reject the rule of law. They cannot break what does not exist. By what I have seen, Republicans do not even recongnise that the law exists much less that it applies to them. When, not if, Obama issues pardons for Bush, Cheney and the thousands of other Republican criminals, we can all join in song. Meet the new boss..........

Joe is as good as gone anyway. The second someone looks sidways at the old fart he'll bolt for the GOP. It will, however, be quite satifying to see him run out of Conn in 2012. I say give him his committee and then expect him to hold hearings and ask tough questions. When he doesn't, strip the chairmanship very publically and give the country a run down on his duplicitious deeds.

Now being a victim of Bush is quite horrible. But BEING Bush? A person could do a lot worse than end up like Bush.

Same as the old boss. I don't know if Mr. Obama has courage. I do know that no other Democrat in congress has an ounce of it. As long as there is one Republican in congress, the Democrats will abandon their principles, their plans, their mandate, and their morals to make that one Republican happy. No matter what it costs the country or the planet Republicans must be deferred to at all costs.

If the Republicans want Obama to continue to torture people, he will continue to torture people.
