It looks to me as if the Republican party has become a criminal enterprise. And as long as congress and Obama let off bankers, ex-presidents, ex-vice presidents, and everyone else associated with that criminal enterprise, the crimes will continue. So when Obama sweeps Bush's war crimes under that yellow rug in the Oval office, all he is doing is setting up the next Republican president to finish Bush's reign of terror and truly make this country a police state.

And you actually think anything has changed? LOL! Obama is still listening to us and still has the power to imprison any or all of us forever. And he's DEFENDING these powers. So just because the dictator changed does not mean we are free. We are NOT FREE. Obama still have total free rein over our government and he's not about to give it up. We are a nation of prisoners. We are a nation of fools.

To finally be ruled by a good tyrant instead of a bad tyrant? I'm so thrilled that my rights have been taken away by a Democrat and not a Republican. Now that's REAL change!!

Ah, well, without representation there is nothing we can do about it. If I just had hundreds of thousands of dollars at least I could get a phone call through to 'my' representative.

Let's start with a premise we can all agree on: Republicans lie.

Now let's see who owns all the major media outlets: Republicans.

So if Republicans lie and major media outlets are owned by Republicans, then the major media outlets lie.

But the question remains, why does no one call them on it? Because major media outlets are owned by Republicans.

Break up Clear Channel and News Corp. Break up all the major media outlets. That is the only way to give the truth a fighting chance.

He has billions of dollars, lives in a Manhattan penthouse, and does not have to work. How is that failure??? He'll never serve a SECOND in jail and will live out his days in luxury and comfort. That, my friend, is not failure but success if judged by the rules of capitalism. So what if people were stupid enough to trust him? How is that a problem? Bernie should be the poster boy for Wall St. Rip off your friends and live happily ever after. It is a dark lesson but not the one you envision. It is a lesson business school grads will be trying to emulate from now on. It's call SUCCESS!!!!

I don't trust any member of congress to know, much less do, what is right. They enabled Bush. They enabled torture. They enabled uttler lawlessness by Republicans. Why the HELL should we believe a word they say? We cannot.

As we have seen, in the United States the president can do what he pleases no matter what stands in his way. Obama will shut down any investigations into war crimes because he would personally rather ignore the law than enforce it. It will take riots and death to bring change to this country. Violence seems to be the only thing congress understands. The Unitary Executive is more concerned with cocktail parties than with justice. Boy did he screw us. Maybe we should return the favor.

It's not like anyone can or wants to stop the abuse and indefinate detention of SUSPECTED terrorists. It's not like anyone can stop a president who wants to break the law and become a war criminal. It's not like anyone will ever come after a president who commits war crimes. And it's not like congress has any power whatsoever to rein in The Unitary Executive. We The People have been shafted again by another slick pol who will say anything to get elected and then does a 180 on the most important moral question of a generation. Obama=Bush. Sad but true.

It is the politicians who want to be able to break laws at will and suffer no consequences. Why? Because they are all in on the crimes. Ah, well, we were overdue for a violent reveloution anyway.

Because the Democrats that would do the investigating are the same Democrats who signed off on the torture. A special prosecutor is needed to investigate ALL members of congress as well as the executive branch and the military. When this investigation is tabled, we will finally know that this is America no longer.

I would hope that NO ONE ON EARTH has the power to grant immunity for WAR CRIMES. If everyone involved is not punished to the full extent of the law, then the law means NOTHING. We all knew that Bush and the Republican party believed the law was meaningless but we were led to believe that Obama actually believed in the rule of law. If even one person is 'given' immunity for war crimes, then there is NOTHING to stop the next Republican president from engaging in the same type of behavior.

Investigate, indict, prosecute.

It really is the only way to salvage this country.

I think we know why Obama said those things on the campaign trail: to get elected. Nothing more, nothing less. He is a politician just like all the other politicians. He will say what he thinks people want to hear so that they will vote for him. Once in office, well, things change, dont' they? We can't recall him, we can't speak to him, we can't even make our own representatives hear us when we scream out 'Stop the torture'. So get a grip, folks, there will be many more 180s from Obama regarding the rule of law. Can't you just see that Bush smirk as he sits back and watches Obama codify his crimes? Just the thought makes me sick.
