  • Extortion

[Read the article: House Democratic leadership: not just complicit but also self-destructive]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

What Bush is actually saying to congress is that if he does not get what he wants, he will let Cheney explode a nuclear device in an American city. It's the same threat that keeps the money flowing for the occupation. If I do not get the money, I will let the troops starve. The country is over. The election will not happen. We are now a facist dictatorship and there is nothing we can do about it. Seig, heil!

  • And now for the big BUT.....

[Read the article: Signs of life from House Democratic leaders]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

But Bush/Cheney will still skate out of office(if they allow the elections to proceed) with not even a slap on the wrist. I want the lot of them tried at The Hague for war crimes, convicted, and imprisoned. If that does not happen, the next Republican to land in the White House will flip this country over on it's stomach and sodomize us till we can't stand up. Defending this country from terrorists is not about fighting Islamic extremeists, it's about fighting Republicans. They are the true extremeists. They are the true terrorists.

  • You forgot one thing

[Read the article: The Politico claims the Iraq war will help McCain]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

The most persuasive argument for staying in Iraq.

More soldiers must die so that those who have died will not have died in vain.

You just can't argue with logic like that.

  • Surly everyone must know

[Read the article: The Obama passport snooping and the unchecked surveillance state]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

by now that the phrase 'allowed by law' does not apply any longer. As long as the DOJ goes after political foes of the president, there is no law protecting anyone from anything. Our entire system of government has been rendered moot by Republicans. This IS 1984 and we are just mice in a maze. Watched constantly at every red light and drive up window. It really tells you who 'our' government thinks their enemy is. We are the enemy of our government. And they will not be safe until every one of us is monitored 24/7. Get used to it. Clinton will only expand the programs. Obama? He's out. 'Typical white person' did it. Buh-bye Barak.

  • Again and again

[Read the article: War advocates like Anne-Marie Slaughter demand that you forget the past]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

This theme must be said again and again and again and again. And again until it sinks in. Your doctor analogy was perfect in every way. It still sickens me everytime I see McCain neck and neck with Obama and Clinton. How stupid is this nation? I guess we'll see in November. Remember, no one ever lost an election underestimating the stupidity of the American people.

  • The same side.

[Read the article: How the long primary battle helps Democrats]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Glad to see that you're taking the same side as Rush, Joan. Always good to see progressives crawl in bed with the ol' Rushbo. Think about it, Joan, you and Rush, all cuddled up in a big, big, soft bed watching Clinton and Obama go at it while McCain sits back and shoots the FEC the finger. Then the viagra comes out. Ooooooo, says Joan. Joan and Rush, sittin' in a tree.......

  • BS!!!

[Read the article: New Michigan delegate compromise offered]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Rules is rules. I don't care if the Republicans set up MI and FL to fail. The citizens of those states elected them. All the candidates pledged going in that the delegates would not be seated. Now Hillary is trying to change the rules. I HAVE HAD ENOUGH LAW-BREAKING AND RULE-CHANGING TO LAST ME SIX LIFETIMES!!! Hillary can just suck it up for all I care. She lies, she breaks rules(sometimes called laws) and she runs a dirty and incompetent campaign. Now she want special treatment. I HAVE HAD IT WITH HER!!! GET THE HELL OFF MY LAWN HILLARY CLINTON. I have absolutely no respect or trust for a liar and a thief(threats to woo pledged delegates).

  • Hiccup

[Read the article: Book news and media campaign coverage]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Her bias was hanging out all OVER the place. I especially like it when she called McCain's repeated references to Al Qaeda and Iran a 'hiccup' by McCain. I think that proved your point perfectly. Hell, he's grampa to these idiots. If they think he's not playing them on purpose then they are more deluded than ever I thought. Great going, Glenn.

  • They knew it was coming.

[Read the article: Why doesn't the 9/11 Commission know about Mukasey's 9/11 story?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Look at the evidence. The PDB, Clarks talks with Rice, the flying lessons. They knew something was coming and did nothing to stop it. Cheney wanted the 'war powers' that an attack would generate for his monkey. It's been obvious for years. The media is sponsored by the same corporations that own our government. No wonder we will never get the real story. Georgie and Dickie Bruce will skip happily out of the WH knowing that they have started the destruction of this country and that they will be richly rewarded for that destruction.....by the Saudis.

  • We are where we are

    [Read the article: Various items]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

When I hear those words or any other such phrases as 'we must move forward' or 'we must now look to the future' I know IMMEDIATELY that the person speaking those words is guilty of supporting past crimes. They all assume that because a crime happened in the past, and that it has not yet been called a crime or prosecuted, that it should be forgotten and forgiven. I totally reject that premise. If the representatives of the people of this country fail to hold those responsible for the war crime that is the Iraq invasion and occupation accountable, then this country will have ceased to exist as a democratic republic. Where are our heros? Where are our leaders? I fear they have all made homes in the pants of the King of Saudi Arabia. I have lost hope in my country. I have lost faith in my representatives. My identity as an American is gone. I only feel shame at being a citizen of a barbaric nation led by barbaric creatures that can never again be called human beings. The end is near.
