But at the same time, she's fanning the flames:

What the hell was her OWN comment on her pants suit? What was she trying to achieve with that? Have you EVER heard of ANY male presidential candidate EVER discuss his clothes as his opening line of a debate?

And don't get me started on that whole, picking on the girl thing.

a 3% increase is clearly significant (in a statistical sense), is the drop really significant? What's the P-value on these (I didn't actually read the article)?

If the abstanence programs started around the time bush took office, about five years ago, the oldest group (the most sexually active anyway) would have no 'other' education programs... In recent years the 'oldest' group would have had 'Clintonian' sex-ed. My guess is, the rates will stay the same until about 5 years after Obama gets in the whitehouse.

    DEAD. !@#$ing. ON.

When I took women's studies classes in college, the only writers I had any respect for were the 'lesbian women of color' type put forth by the white chicks to show thier solidarity, but little else, as they always danced around the primary issues they were raising.

Umm... I'm the first to critisize her inane babbling on all matters statistical... but this time, she actually qualified properly, and asked questions that were actually germaine.

    You're out of line bub...

    paraphrasing from your post:

Zogby: 49 percent to 36 percent, with a margin of error of 3.3 percent, and has the momentum strongly in Obama's favor.

SurveyUSA poll: has Clinton leading 52 percent to 42

I drilled down the links, and noted that Zogby does in fact put those numbers forward... But add it up:

Zogby: 49+36=85, SurveyUSA: 52+42=94... Clearly Zogby isn't reporting an 'undecided' option in their survey, where I'm guessing SurveyUSA didn't have that as an option... or left it as 'non-response, or 'no reply'.

So the question is (IMHO): who's going to get the undecideds? the BigMo would suggest Obama, especially given the gushing press today, but as you said, who knows?

*Not that I actually believe this of course, I just couldn't resist the obvious piling on. If I were in your shoes, I would welcome your new pre-pubecent minded overlords, and then cut off the comment section entirely. But that's just me.

Everybody involved says Goolsbee didn't make that quote, rather it was the impressions of the guy taking notes at the meeting. In fact, everyone involved (except perhaps the guy taking the notes) says that isn't what happened.

Sounds a lot like you assisting in inventing a new fiction along the lines of Al Gore saying, "I invented the internet"

    You suck.

  • Ciao salon...

    You have destroyed this site.

It's got nothing to do with this post, or anything in today's commentary... It's just that for the past several months, the writer who once drew me here have left. Whenever I have a notion to read anything you've read it seems as though I'm watching a idiot preen on about some bickerfest they've recently been on, or going to be on. It seems this has been your focus since you've taken over from the founder, and it must have worked as you aren't having the money problems they once had...

But still, you've killed something good and that's a shame.

  • The whitehouse spin?

[Read the article: Bush's missing bin Laden plan]

Geeze, it should be obvious by now:

Any reference to any plan is classified. Even acknowledging it's existence (which we aren't) would aid the the cold-blooded killers who want to do harm to the homeland like they did on 9/11. Why is it that you want to aid the terrorists? Why do you hate America?
