Wow

Can I get her to denounce me, too?

I can see how this would play out

Criticizing God's Anointed (Sarah Palin) is a violation of Freedom of Speech. Being a Muslim, an Atheist or a non-"Messianic" Jew violates Christains' Freedom of Religion. Belonging to a Progressive group or the Democratic Party violates Conservatives' Freedom of Association. Protesting government actions violates all Americans' Freedom to Petition.

It's pretty near-fetched.

Why sho nuff Mister Alex suh, Ah be votin' fo' Barrack

Race does not compel African-Americans to vote for anyone with dark skin. Witness the success of Alan Keyes. The Republican strategy of nominating a woman as VP candidate didn't suddenly turn American women into vapid vaginae voting the XX ticket. The Irish didn't all flock to McCain.

So why are you being such a dick (note the Anglo-Saxon word) about Jews? Is it because we're 'clannish'? Are we single-issue Israel voters who take our marching orders from the International Banking Conspiracy and mindlessly support the Yid no matter what he does?

You wouldn't have pulled this kind of crap about any other ethnic group, especially with the cute parenthetical ethnicisms.

Grow up.

Original article: WTF of the day

It's a little creepy but...

How is getting "pleasure" out "banging" (your quotation marks) any different than a woman heroically taking control of her sexuality by buying a vibrator? There's a serious unexamined double standard on your part.

Come to think about it

"Development and production of artificial human companions" is an important goal of the Church of Satan.

Old joke, but apropos

"It's a vagina, not a clown car"

Stay Classy Republicans

...or at least try to keep your real feelings on the down low.

Just goes to show what we value as a nation

If chemistry class were as dangerous as high school sports there would be no science departments in the US. We accept an unconscionable rate of crippling injuries, spinal and brain damage and death in our teenagers in the name of sports. That much blood for entertainment is disgusting.

Oh my goodness. A lawyer somewhere is waking up with a BIG smile

Let's see what Ms. Olona did. I'm not going to call her "Nurse" because she's not going to be one for long...

  • She performed a medical procedure on a conscious, legally competent patient without the patient's consent.
  • She lied about it.
  • She refused to rectify her error.
  • She used her behavior to engage in a flagrant boundary violation
  • She did it so often that the rest of the staff joked about the behavior

Deary, deary me. Refusal to seek consent. Doing a procedure without consent let alone consent. Boundary violations. Lying to the patient. The staff as accomplices to a pattern of criminal behavior. Failure to properly supervise. Accessories after the fact. A demonstrable pattern of abuse and connection with multiple illegal activities. Failure to exercise minimal care and diligence. "Knew or should have known"...

The clinic and its parent corporation are going to be over a barrel, or taking their day in the barrel to quote an old off-color joke. They are going to be shelling out a LOT of money over this one. And they are going to be receiving the unfriendly attentions of the State Medical Board for a long, long time. Hospital accreditations have been yanked for less. And if one case comes to light you can bet that lawyers and investigators from the State, possible other victims and the hospital's insurance company are going to be going over every chart with a microscope.

I hope Ms. Olona is a woman of Faith. Because she's going to have to rely on Jesus for her daily bread. It's a sure bet that she isn't going to be earning it in any medical field from now on.

The US should learn to read a balance sheet

Instead of a crazed "Kill them! KILL THEM!!! KILL THEM ALL!!!!! they should try rational solutions for a change.

Go back the the unofficial policy of George I and Bubba Comitatus. Just buy the damned opium and burn it. The poppy farmers are happy because they're not starving. The Taliban is happy because they've got steady income. The Army is happy because we've suddenly become the Taliban's meal ticket. The DEA is happy because the poppy juice isn't getting to the US. The accountants are happy because we're paying a hell of a lot less to collect and destroy the poppy than we would be with the "War on Negroes, err Drugs, yeah Drugs". And the public is happy because the supply of heroin is down, so the price goes up and demand goes down. Take the money we save and put it into drug treatment.

What's the downside besides making a bunch of Narco-Warriors find honest work?
