Both of you have expressed a staunch support for whoever wins the Democratic nomination, whether Hllary or whether Obama. And here is what I have to say about both of them:
Hillary is certainly not above criticism and should be held to the same standards as the rest of the candidates. However, there has been an appearance in the media of a gang rape of Hillary by their right leaning pundits. That and that alone has galvanized the women to come out and vote for Hillary.
And there was a huge fear that the media was in a mad rush to crown Obama as the heir, very early on in the race. He was not being held to the same standards as Hillary. Moreover, the media was falling over each other to get on the Obama bandwagon so early in the game. Sure he is a smooth operator, lots of high spirited, motivational we can do, united we stand, divided we fall kind of kumbaya to attract the republicans, independents and the chronically undecided. And I know that I too am going to vote for him in the primaries. But he need not be coronated so early on. He needs to go through the same process as the rest of the candidates and be held to the same standards.
Politics is a dirty game and I think they are both playing the game with equal relish.
I am not convinced that this message was from any of the Clinton supporters or operatives. This dastardly message sounds more like the works of the same "swiftboat" operatives who put out an email on Obama's religious affiliations with terrorist groups. When asked about this in one of the debates, Obama was not adult enough to talk about respect for all religions. Instead he answered that he is a christian.
And that scurrilous email was not sent out by the Clinton camp. Let's hold her accountable for what really does come out of her campaign and refrain from guessing.

Wrong choice of words by using kumbaya in one of my posts.
At the outset, let me assert that I will be voting for Obama only for the same concerns expressed by many of you in this forum. I also have the same concerns regarding Hillary, and her supposed shadow experience in the White House that dissed Lani Guineer, Joycelene Elders, ended welfare as they knew it, don't ask don't tell copout, passed NAFTA and BAFTA, promoted and signed the communications bill that left the dissemination of information in the hands of a few, namely corporate conglomerates. So in the primaries, I will vote against her, and Bill Clinton.
So is Obama naive, or is he a fighter? I think he is hoisted by his own petard most of the time. He has not told me yet how he is going to stop union busting (started by Reagan, whom he admires), how he is going to improve education, how he is going to sit across the table from powerful lobbyists and break their stranglehold on American politics, how he is going to save Roe v Wade, how he is going to implement fairness in the media, how he is going to end the war in Iraq and prevent nuclear disaster around the world.
You will agree that much of the Obama enthusiasm has been generated by the media who want to to get the pesky Hillary out of the race as soon as possible. And that, in my opinion, has caused a backlash against Obama by some. What most disturbs me is that he has been able to keep most black national leaders at arms length. You decide which gallery he is playing to.
