Your entire posts smack of poisonous patronizing and a deliberate distortion of what I can or cannot say of which you will or will not approve. If you are trying to run me off this forum for switching my vote, nice try.

I am very well, thank you. No need to patronize - again.

Hillary will never apologize or concede that she made a mistake when she voted for the invasion and occupation of Iraq. How much of this is tied to the all powerful Israeli lobby in Washington that controls American Foreign policy?

  • Interesting poll

This poll only confirms to me the toxicity of Hillary's campaign.

--Can we infer from these numbers that 25% of Hillary supporters really don't care to end the war in Iraq? so many scenarios to iterate.

--Can it be that 25% of Hillary's supporters would rather vote for a white man than an African-American?

--Can it be that 25% of Hillary supporters are but cross over Republicans who will vote for McCain anyway?

    --Can it be

These are not Gloria Steinhem kind of women. Sorry. Steinhem will vote for Obama. I wish they had broken the poll down to the % of men, women, white, non-white, region, etc.

the nomination through dirty tricks, arm twisting etc, what do Salonites think will happen to the Democratic party? Is it time to merge the DNC with the GOP?

The Dallas Morning News is reporting that Clinton campaign training materials regarding Tuesday night's caucuses ominously advise supporters to take control of caucus sign-in sheets and vote tallies especially "if our supporters are outnumbered."

Are you just crossover Republicans who voted for Hillary to get Obama out of the race? I don't doubt that feminists also exist in the GOP, so your vote for McCain should Hillary lose, will be a vote for the continuation of the Iraq war, starting another war in Iran, provide more tax cuts for the wealthy, see more of our jobs being outsourced to other countries and by and large continue the this government of the few, by the few and for the few. If you are crossover voters for Hillary, of course you will vote for McCain.

Gloria Steinhem will vote for Obama in the general elections. She is not the head of this "will vote for McCain" brigade. She is a true blue Democrat.

Tested and experienced politicians like Hillary and McCain are the ones who sent scores of our children in harms way. This is an illegal and foolish war in which so many of our young perished, not counting the enormous numbers of Iraqi civilians who have lost their lives. Prolonging this war keeps our children in Iraq and in danger. The choice is between hope and no hope. Experienced pols are who declared this nasty war. Why do you trust them to keep our children safe?

"I honestly never heard that point before about Obama saying his voters wouldn't cross over."

Obama did say something to that effect very early on in the primaries. I cannot remember whether it was NH or Nevada, but he did make a statement that Hillary's supporters would vote for Obama, but he "wasn't sure" if Obama supporters would vote for Hillary should she win the contest.

Of course this could have been taken out of context and also in the heat of accusations flying around that the Clintons had injected race into their campaign.

Obama has been chastened since then. However, Hillary is now being perceived as bringing so much negativity into the campaign that her supporters are now threatening to vote for McCain, 25% of them now, but I am sure, not so many come November.

Whatever happens, Obama or Hillary, the Democratic party has to unite or else this may become Bush's thrid term under McCain.

Did Hillary really make the statement that McCain is better than Obama? If that is true, it should confirm for one and all that Hillary is more beholden to the GOP than the progressive wing of the Democratic party.

"Sure Clinton might be beholen to the G.O.P.

A lot like Joe Leiberman is tuned into the Repulslicans. We all know good and well that Hillary likes G.I. Joe's Leiberman"

Maybe, if she somehow wins by the narrowest margin in any state, on Wednesday, she will announce her VP - Leiberman. Not beyond the realm of possibility now that someone wrote - Hillary stated McCain was better than Obama.

  • Facts about NAFTA - Newsweek

[Read the article: Hillary Clinton makes her stand in Ohio]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

    Summary

Clinton's spokesman says a newly surfaced memo proves that Obama's campaign issued false denials about sending a private message to Canadian officials to disregard his criticisms of NAFTA. The Obama camp says it's all a misunderstanding, and the Canadian embassy in Washington says it regrets the whole thing.

Is this "NAFTA-gate" as the Clinton campaign would like Ohio voters to believe when they vote in the March 4 primary? Or is it, as the Obama camp describes it, just a botched description by a low-level official in Canada's Chicago office of a meeting with a senior Obama adviser?

It's now clear that a Canadian news report that started this flap wasn't accurate. No evidence has surfaced to show that any Obama "staffer" telephoned the Canadian ambassador in Washington, and all concerned deny that any such conversation took place. But it is equally clear that Obama's senior economic adviser did visit Canada's consulate in Chicago on Feb. 8, and that NAFTA was one of the several topics discussed.
