Revolutionary Women

We've had women on the front lines since the Civil War.

Even before that. Seven percent of the Revolutionary War army was women. Most worked in jobs like nursing and scavenging battlefields but some women soldiers fought alongside men.

children and men were raped also

my older half-sisters saw horrors on the flight back by horse-drawn wagons from the Russians once the front broke, no child should EVER witness. Looking for shelter at night they came upon many homes of civilian Germans containing the corpses of raped children, girls, women ages 2 to past 80 whose breasts has been cut off and stomachs slit after being raped.

I hope the movie Rape in Berlin shows children and men being raped. Thank you bringing forth this subject to inform people that women are not the only victims of rape. FBI statistics say that half of rape victims are aged 18 and younger. I assume during war male soldiers are even more motivated to rape children because they have less fear of the law.

What is wrong with humans? They refuse to look into their very own mistreatment of those they abused while pointing their fingers at others.

I've read a lot of the letters here, which I assume are mostly written by Americans, yet I haven't once read anyone who is condemning the Nazis condemn European settlers for the Native American holocaust that is estimated to have killed 12 million indigenous people.

survival

neighboring genes were "plundered" and often even brought home, like Helen of Troy. Maybe the human race has evolved past a necessity for rape in war,

There is no necessity for rape in war. Genes can be shared from peaceful relations, for example, a traveler may have consensual sex with a foreign person or an immigrant may marry a person from another country. And humans would survive even if they only had sex with people of their own societies.
