    No, not vindicate.

    Err on the same side.

  • Nothing = Nothing

[Read the article: White House ordered forgery]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

You offer nothing but a claim by someone who has a book to sell.

    No sources, no real context.

Which still leaves plenty for the salonista faithfull to get torqued off. . . . Get the tin hats out boys.

    Salon is becoming a joke.

  • Exposure has led to; OBAMA IS JUST ANOTHER POLITICIAN

[Read the article: I'm so bored with O-B-A-M-A]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

After all the hype around Obama has begun to subside, we see that he is really just another politician, angling for the top job.

    1. obama supports Bush's FISA bill.

    2. obama is leaning towards opening up drilling.

    3. obama is less adamant that we get out of Iraq ASAP (he's moving towards McCain).

It's clear that he'll say what he has to, in order to get the job. Like most politicians. . . . he ain't no messiah.

  • Inane, One-Sided View of our Government

[Read the article: How conservative greed and corruption destroyed American politics]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I could list all the democrat crooks, but, I've already heard all the lame excuses that salonistas put forward in defense of those crooks.

This piece reads like a die-hard sports fan talking about why his team is great, and your team sucks. It just uses bigger words.

  • Joe must own Alcoa Stock

[Read the article: New evidence suggests Ron Suskind is right]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Another conspiracy theory, with nothing going for it other than it plays to the bush hating choir.

    We are given;

"New evidence suggests Ron Suskind is right"

    and

"What was an Iraqi politician doing at CIA headquarters just days before he distributed a fake memo incriminating Saddam Hussein in 9/11?"

Since when is a question considered evidence?

An ambitious Iraqi politician, forges a document and exagerates a claim. Just like Chalabi did.

(...just like the no-nukes crowd did when they shut down our nuclear power industry)

And joe calls that "evidence" that the CIA was involved.

Break out the tin hats, call Art Bell, and schedule an interview.

If there were common sense in Green Bay, Brett Favre would be a Packer.

  • Another Example of BLINDER VISION

[Read the article: Why isn't Obama crushing McCain?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

As is typical of many liberal arguments, the liberal sees the negatives in their opponent, and nothing else.

Recent approval polls for Congress (led by democrats pelosi and reid) were below 10%.

You are correct to point out the negatives in the Republican candidates.

You are blind to the lack of appeal of the democrats, as evidenced in the low approval rating for congress.

The more you learn about obama, the more apparent is his lack of "change". He is pro-FISA, pro-drilling?, wavering on Iraq.

Just another politician. Like all those congressmen we admire.

  • Salon GOT IT RIGHT! . . . for once

[Read the article: Liberals spending unwisely]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Of course liberals are spending unwisely.

Democrat led governments routinely squander money, usually in the form of bloated, inefficient federal programs.

    Thanks for the accurate reporting.

  • Speaking of Smiles

[Read the article: The strange smile of George W. Bush]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Did you see john edwards smile during his interview with Woodruff?

Smiling, while trying to explain his lie about the affair, while his wife is diagnosed with terminal cancer (oh yeah, and while he's trying to convince the populace that they should trust him).

Turns out, johnny was probably lying during this interview, as he was during his first denial.

Looks like he is the father, knows about payments to Rielle, and may very well have used campaign money.

    A felony.

Time to call walter shapiro, re-assemble the dream team.

  • They call it "A Start"

[Read the article: Johnny, I hardly knew ye]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

The Red Cross: "..a humanitarian organization that provides emergency assistance, disaster relief and education.." - from wikipedia.

    edwards sued them 3 times.

You trusted an ambulance chasing trial lawyer. You thought he cared...Silly you.

  • Why It Matters

[Read the article: Johnny, I hardly knew ye]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

edwards portrayed himself as a caring individual. He had your best interests at heart. He was going to work for those less well off.

He featured his wife in his campaign. There was open discussion about her health. They sold us on the notion that they truly cared for one another, . . . just as they would care for us if elected.

It was a lie, a sham. It's not the sex, the money he paid her, nor his love child, it's the dishonesty. The FALSE image he projected.

john edwards is a snake-oil salesman supreme.

  • Why It Matters - pt 2

    Yes, just like other snake-oil salesmen;

    Mark Foley,

    Larry Craig,

    David Vitter,

and Eliot Spitlizard, . . . wonder what spitlizard is doing these days.

"Does it then follow that you might want to re-evaluate some of your other political judgments?"

It would, if I thought that the personal behavior of members of a political party was a measure of that party's ideas and plans.

    I don't think that.

Whether or not there are more or fewer rapists, drug addicts, crooks, or lying-false-prophet-trust-me-jerks in one party or the other, is not a good way to determine the best policy.

It is however, a way to assess an individual's fitness for the job.

I am anxious to learn how many additional lies john edwards told in his recent mea culpa interview with woodruff.

My money is on the National Enquirer, over this ambulance chasing trial lawyer.

  • Juan is a Dunce

[Read the article: Putin's war enablers: Bush and Cheney]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

The glee with which juan comments on this story is disgusting.

Bush didn't invade Georgia, Russia did.

You want international law to govern our world? If that occurs, a lot of lefties in the US aren't gonna be happy.... (you really think international law will adhere to the tenets of salonista-ism?)

Russia can ram it. Juan is a wuss.

  • Great New Product Idea

[Read the article: Memo to NBC gymnastics commentators: Shut up!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

...a cable sports channel, targeting salonistas, hosted by cuban, chi-com, and russian commentators.

Then you'd get what you want. More arguments as to why the US is bad.

    Hey, has anyone got an explanation as to why;

    1) The pre-pubescent girl whose photo is part of this post is allowed to compete as a 16 year old? Special rules for china? The passport the chi-coms provided is evidence enough for you that she is legit?

  • Serious Journalism? ...NOT!

[Read the article: The decay of serious journalism and Rachel Maddow's new show]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Hannity, Olderman, all the others. It's just a Hatfields vs. McCoys bitch fest.

If you are a Hatfield, or a McCoy, you might not see it that way. Too bad for you.

Classic Example: keith olderman spends significant time on his show ripping Bill O'Reilly and Rish Limbaugh. Neither O'Reilly nor Limbaugh hold public office. They do not set policy.

Why do you watch one pompous ass smear another, if not for entertainment?

    It ain't journalism.
