  • Why the press....?

[Read the article: Psycho Christians and the media]

You answer your own question with; "It's true that neither Hagee nor Parsley was McCain's pastor and personal spiritual advisor, as Wright was for Obama."

On one hand you have politicians looking for votes. Nothing new about that.

    On the other hand you have this quote from obama;

"He's been somebody who has helped me feel comfortable with some of my doubts when it comes to faith and how to work those through," Obama said at the time. "His scholarship is very rigorous, and his sense of social justice is very keen."

I don't think you'll find John McCain speaking that way of Hagee.

If obama looks up to Wright, if Wright has been a significant influence in shaping obama's beliefs, then the obama-wright story deserves the attention it has received.

  • It's Good to See...

[Read the article: Karl Rove's sly deal with Fox]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

It's good to see how familiar the salonista's are with Fox News programming. Your comments are based on actual experience, aren't they?

I guess I shouldn't be surprised you're watching, given the fact that pompous keith olderman is routinely trounced by Bill O'Reilly, according to the Nielsen ratings.

. . . hey wait a minute, are the Nielsen's a secret plot to dismantle the constitution, a plot that is supported by the big telecommunications companies under the direct control of Dick Cheney ???

    Vote Nader

  • Hillary's getting Shafted

[Read the article: Why don't those hillbillies like Obama?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Hillary has the lead in the popular vote, as she has recently claimed.

Despite Hillary's lead, people are referring to Obama as the nominee.

Did Katherine Harris get a job with the democrats?

  • Hillary's Got the Popular Vote

[Read the article: "Until we have a nominee, whoever she may be"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

According to hillary that is. It reminds me of the people that said big al won in 2000.

I think hillary's going to threaten to go independent if the superdelegates refuse to disenfranchise the voting public by giving it to her. Maybe she can use that threat to influence supers.

What else can she do? Wait until 2012? 2016?

I can't imagine hillary leaving the fight with anything left in her quiver.

  • Texas PI Lawyer is Right

[Read the article: Major new ad campaign -- aimed at Blue Dog Rep. Chris Carney -- begins]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

You guys are dumb, dumb, dumb.

    Please keep it up.

After the 2006 election, when a number of democrats beat Republicans by pretending to; like guns, have concerns over abortion, and talking pro-military, the democrats womped the Republicans.

I would much rather see democrats dump Carney, Pelosi, and Reid, replacing them with progressives.

    That would be awesome.

  • Glenn the Strict Constitutionalist....

[Read the article: The California marriage decision and basic civics]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Which is good to hear. Just like Scalia.

Can you provide what the Brookings "scholar" did not?

A constitutional basis for or against same sex marriage in California?

  • More myth making...will glenn add this myth to his book?

[Read the article: The ugliest election]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Gary leaves out so much, and characterizes things in a such a one sided manner, that all we are left with is yet another myth.

Gore lost 7-2, in his request to recount counties where he hoped to gain votes. There was no concern in that request shown toward the panhandle Republican voters who were told before the polls closed, that it was all over...remember that the next time you salonistas claim that the news media is a right-wing tool... and when you characterize the gore team as having taken the "ethical" approach.

    Gore lost the machine recounts.

Gore lost according to news consortiums that have since hand counted the ballots.

Gore probably lost votes in areas where democrat buearocrats created a ballot that democrat voters couldn't understand... I'm pretty sure that the instructions I read on my 1040 form were also written by a democrat. Totally confusing.

Gore lost when the dork florida supreme court refused to respond to requests from the federal supreme court.

Gore has won big since then. Nobel prize, oscar, appears to have access to unlimited jelly rolls or something,... while lecturing us about consumption.

  • Pancho - you've been lied to.

[Read the article: The ugliest election]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

You've been lied to when you hear or read that recounts of the florida ballots prove that big al gore actually won.

    Here is a source from CNN, ranking member of the vast right-wing conspiracy;

    http://www.cnn.com/SPECIALS/2001/florida.ballots/stories/main.html

You should broaden your horizons. Salon posts a lot of myths.

    Vote Nader.

    PBS Disagrees with you;

    http://www.pbs.org/newshour/media/media_watch/jan-june01/recount_4-3.html

You will find analyses whereby a ballot with votes for more than 1 presidential candidate, and ballots with no vote for a presidential candidate are included in the recount, in which case big al gore is declared the winner.

If that makes sense to you, you must be a salonista.

Liberals always come up with special rules to protect their interest.

  • What about...?

    [Read the article: Playing soldier]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

What about the fat women on harleys?

We have those too...just wondering if you had theory that explains them garrison.

  • Baloo knows...

[Read the article: John McCain's Arab-American problem]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Baloo knows swear words, and not much else.

Hey juan, please encourage democrat candidates to publicly endorse hezbollah.

  • Garrison's new style: Forget rutabaga, insult somebody

    [Read the article: Playing soldier]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

    Letters written in response to a Garrison column;

    Today, 107, and counting

    May 21, 67

    May 14, 16

    May 7, 27

    April 30, 40

    April 23, 28

Looks like gary's toeing the salon company line; say something controversial, p!$$ off a segment of society, and generate hits.

    Just like Limbaugh and Coulter.

I got a kick out of novoteindc mentioning the "macho field" of painting. . . Macho like the Village People?
