    Problems with the link, sorry.

    The story, however, is true. There's no need to make stuff about your candidates.

    Obama suggested invading Pakistan, with or without Musharraf's approval. Pakistan has nukes. Obama has some sort of a plan. I'd like to hear more debate about it. Like, what do you salonistas think about it? Is it imperialistic? what's the exit strategy? will it improve our reputation around the world?

    I don't think you're a dork, but you got something going on.

    The source of the story is not Fox news, nor wikipedia.

    All the presidential candidate's views re. foreign policy should be debated. This idea of obama's might get some Republican votes, maybe appeal to the center.

    Why do you refuse to believe he proposed it?

    kitt - you're splitting hairs. obama suggested military action inside Pakistan w/o the paki government approval. I'd like to hear more debate about obama's NOT AN INVASION plan, as opposed to Wright's AIDs+Genocide theory.

    bamage - I like your use of the words "necessity" and "firm intelligence". Reminds me of the debate prior to the Iraq war. Including debates that pre-date the Bush presidency. Similar to billary's argument in favor of military action as well...She left out the cuss words though.

    Fair enough. Cruise missiles only. No troops.

    If Sen. Dodd's worst fears come to pass, and the actions you describe destabilize Pakistan, radical islamists seize control of the government, including the nukes...then what?

    We would have to be ready to invade, to try and secure the nukes if nothing else.

    After listening to Sen. Dodd, and others, talk about the implications of Obama's NOT AN INVASION plan, including the who cares what Musharraf thinks part,...I don't think he's ready to be president.

    I think this is an excellent topic to debate.

    Your frustration over guilt by association is understandable. It is not, however, unique to African Americans. Wright is being criticized for statements he has made and positions he holds. Not because he is black.

    To answer one of your questions;

    1) Shall I stop watching Keith Olbermann because all those General Electric jet engines are killing innocent Iraqis?

    Answer: No. You should stop watching pompous keith because; a) he's pompous, and b) GE is aiding Iran.

    You State:

    Any mention of Reverend Jeremiah Wright will signal to me everything I need to know about that person's moral and intellectual capacities.

    Question:

    When obama mentions wright in speeches and books he has written, what does that tell you about obama's moral and intellectual capacities?

    [Read more letters about this article: Here]

    glenn, have you no shame?

    "Reagan's severe economic mismanagement"

    "his disastrous foreign policy"

    By what measure? How exactly do you reach either of the two conclusions above?

    To do so, you need to disregard;

    Economic Indicators

    1980 – the year Ronald Reagan was elected

    Inflation – 13.5%

    Unemployment – 7.2%

    1988 – Ronald Reagan’s final year in office

    Inflation – 4.1%

    Unemployment – 5.5%

    Foreign Policy

    For decades, the biggest foreign policy issue facing the US was the soviet union, the cold war. The threat of a nuclear war inspired the doomsday clock, multiple movies and television shows (where crazed generals invariably lost control and pulled the trigger) and carl sagan’s nuclear winter theory.

    Today, in former eastern bloc countries, they tear down statues of lenin and stalin, and erect statues of Ronald Reagan.

    Think our main stream media made them do that?

    Reagan ended the cold war, despite the fear mongering from the left regarding his tactics. In the process he destroyed multiple lefty myths.

    Economy

    Thanks for the link. In it I found another example of liberal's tendency to adopt any argument that furthers their cause;

    "Indeed, since the Reagan years, the argument over the deficit has been turned on its head. In the 1980s, prominent liberal economists dismissed the significance of government red ink to head off the slashing of social welfare spending. Now, many liberal economists have become the fiercest deficit hawks to head off still more tax cuts."

    Quoting a liberal professor like Brad DeLong is risky. They have a terrible record regarding what makes an economy work. Prior to the fall of the soviet union, they claimed that the USSR had a strong economy. After the fall of the soviet union they claimed that the USSR's economy was the cause of the fall, no credit should be given to Reagan. Yet another example of liberal's shifty arguments.

    Foreign Policy

    Dead bodies are no small issue. Reagan intervened in Central America, where people were killing one another. Maybe he should have just let it go? Sent jimmy carter there to fix it?

    Reagan didn't let it go in the soviet union, where tens of millions have been killed, many more forced to work in slave camps.

    Iran: in his effort to free American hostages, Reagan most likely broke the law. He also violated his stated position of refusing to negotiate with terrorists.

    How about asking the former hostages what they think about the whole ordeal?

    What would it take?

    A royal appointment. If she were made King, that would probably satisfy her. At least for awhile. I don't know how long it would take before she decided to extend her empire.

    And don't call her queenie either.
