Why not start a massive switch from Comcast cable/internet/phone services boycott?

Well that certainly convinces me to switch to RCN immediately, maybe someone could create a website where people who drop comcast can put their names on some sort of petition. Comcast could lose 40,000 customers in a few days, that would start to wake them up to the reality that the people are uniting behind sanity, and no longer supporting the special interests that keep the people apart.

Comcast is no longer my provider certainly. And everyone I know will find out why.

Original article: New heights of stupidity

You can't teach an old pig new tricks

Seems to be the standard playbook for this year's apparent battle. The same lies, extended via brainwashing and ego-enslaved fools.

Meanwhile, in the reality-sanity community, one can only laugh, cry, and wake up. Clearly a new voice has to emerge that utterly mocks the whole addiction to unreality and fear that is the modern GOP. The only thing the GOP has to run on is "drama and difference".

What about non-drama, just plain handling the humanizing business of this epochal moment in earth-history?

Why not focus on four sanity-reality-progressive universally true things:

peace

prosperity

a sustainable future for our children and this planet

education for a global humankind

and simply mention, GOP: no answers, no interest

The only interest the modern GOP (narcissistic fear-mongering difference-makers) has is:

power

rich getting richer

theocracy

education for an enslaved totalarian government ruled humankind

There is a life-positive narrative about peace, prosperity, planetary survival, and sane education.

And there is the infantile Drudge-ry of low-minded subhumanity (*rhymes with Hannity for rappers).

Obama means "blessing".

McCain (*rhymes with insane).

Obama-blessing is in hope and vision calling into being a governance of blessing, of selfless service to the whole, of sane humanity and the possibility of a living ecosystem.

McCain-ego is entirely behind the theocratic, corporate tyranny, military-industrial complex, selfishness, endless war, planetary ruin, and endless suffering for all humanity.

We can't teach an old pig new tricks. But we can remind the old boring same olde drama-scripted ego-driven pig that he/she is actually a hearted human being.

May reality prevail.

Original article: "His name says it all"

Sidney means "I am a cannibal and use cannibis" in an ancient dialect

Yup. I am a professor of ancient languages and I have always wondered why nobody brings this up about John McCain. I mean really, it is all in the name.

The guy eats humans and smokes weed daily. But nobody calls him on it.

I think it is about time for people to start Sidney-izing the campaign.

Can you trust a stoned cannibal in the oval office?

There you have it!

Original article: Obama's Nobel Peace Prize

War is Peace? Peace is what?

When I heard about this Peace Prize thing this morning, I was stunned, and actually came here to see if Glenn, who I respect as much as any journalist or write alive, had some commentary.

Thank you as always for your insight and perspective.

The fact is that President Obama has not made the great and necessary progress of establishing the US as a peace-leading nation, a non-war-mongering nation.

The hope is different. Gandhi was a peace maker. There are many men and women alive today who live and breath true peace, compassion, and universal sanity.

Perhaps giving the peace prize to someone who is a true living breathing demonstration of sanity and peace would be a greater beacon of true hope and light to humankind in this pivotal moment in human history.

To judge a man by his acts, rather than his words, one cannot point to Obama as a great man of peace. One can sadly admit, as you so clearly argue and point out (great use of visual images thank you!) that Obama is leader of a morally wrong murderous regime of war-mongering, weapons selling, and no-peace-at-all.

War is immoral and wrong.

Weapons of mass destruction are immoral and wrong.

Murder of anyone is only wrong.

Humankind is literally one family.

Human peace is dependent upon actually living these principles and extending them to the entire human world, universally.

The great voices of peace know this, live this, breathe this, and demonstrate this. These are the qualities we (assuming we are moved to be people of peace) should aspire to and emulate, and these are the qualities that should be embodied in the Nobel peace prize "winner", or any peace prize "winner" at all.

And not merely in words, but in action. Gandhi-ji said:

"What difference does it make to the dead, the orphans, and the homeless, whether the mad destruction is wrought under the name of totalitarianism or the holy name of liberty and democracy?"

"We must be the change we wish to see."

"It may be long before the law of love will be recognized in international affairs. The machineries of government stand between and hide the hearts of one people from those of another."

How can one possibly say that, on the entire planet of earth right now, Barack Obama not only demonstrates such a commitment to true peace, and true global sanity, and true wisdom, but is the singular most inspirational example of such?

This peace prize should be taken as yet another example of the absolute necessity to deepen the public discourse about everything altogether, and get to the deeper matters, the make-a-difference matters, which are so urgent everywhere.

What is true peace? It sure isn't playing partisan politics or buying into media-hype or playing the game as it has been played, which is a barbarian nightmare of Orwellian stupidity!

War is utterly immoral and un-necessary.

Anyone who hasn't come to this conclusion in thought, word, and deed is not deserving of any peace prize at all.

Glenn, as always thank you for your insight, wisdom, and commitment to sane human discourse.
