" And, why focus on "ACORN" and other far left organizations in Chicago which organized and mobilized "actions" against many south side Jews who were singled out as "slum lords" because they owned rental properties, and whose homes they picketed when they did not want to sell or give away their property for youth centers and other radical pet projects?"

I just love this quote. Seriously, its the fifth time I've read something bad about ACORN today. If I were to beleive the trolls, ACORN is singlehandidly responsible (under the tutelage of Obama, of course) for 1) creating a pogrom in South Side Chicago against the Jews 2) the mortgate crisis 3) and the wall street meltdown,

The first time I heard of ACORN was on Treasure Island when I spent a week training for the Clinton's Summer of Service Program. I don't remember a chapter in Oakland, but I wasn't a homebuyer at the time.

Anyhoo, I haven't heard of it since (sadly that week and and the summer in EBCC pretty much ended my foray in the nonprofit community service world.) I don't think most people have even heard of this organization much less know anything about its history or its aims. But earlier today I read they were leftist radicals who used financial blackmail to force banks to give loans to poor people.

And now the organization is a republican talking point. Sad, really.

I agree with you when it comes to Don't Ask, Don't Tell and the Defense of Marriage Ammendmant (and I'm not even gay.) I never forgave him for that. I thought it was weak and silly and ultimately, an act which I hope with will come back to haunt his legacy.

However, I don't agree with your argument that women/feminists should have fought to have him removed from office because he cheated on his wife. Now, if he issued an exective order stating that all female subordinates had to spend at least an hour a day under their male boss' desks giving them blow jobs, okay, throw the bastard out. His screwing around has obviously giving him syphillis. Or if he is paying the person he cheated with hush money from the government till.

But not because he is a serial cheater. I think its hard for men (even gay men) to understand, but there was something about him that was irresistable to some members of my sex. Which is sad really, but there it is. I don't think he had to work very hard at seduction; he didn't even have to issue an executive order. I know I was insanely excited when he set up shop a block from my Aunt's house in NY. Sad, even though I part of me hates him.

The fact is, I don't care where any politician sticks his dick as long as the person, place, or thing is of a legal age and is willing to be stuck. I feel sorry for the closeted Republicrats, though. How awful must it be to hate yourself that much...

  • Yeah, I thought this was would be the case

[Read the article: Did anyone really yell "Kill him"?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Which is why I didn't jump on this hyperbolic band wagon.

The truth is that if someone truly seriously and emphatically wants to kill Obama, they sure as hell ain't gonna broadcast the intention during some stupid rally. This is just as bad as that whole kerfluffle in Texas and the woman who says she was visited by the Secret Service because she said, Obama wants to leave dead babies on hospital floors, and the campaign worker reported she said, I want Obama dead on a hospital floor. (It may be an urban rumor, but I read an article in a newspaper about it as well.) I do find it funny that republicans are always shocked, SHOCKED, when they are wrongly accused (even if it was a misunderstanding) of something but wouldn't bat an eye if a minority is wrongly convicted and serves time in jail. Or if a liberal/muslim/activist/etc is on some government watch list because they attend a rally.

The truth is that I don't think the Secret Service would be this crazy about Obama's security if they hadn't have received a shitload of threats against his life. And no one, not even the Republicans, really want Obama to get killed. I don't think this country would bounce back from that, not because Obama is the One, but because the economy is crap and people are fed up. I betcha there would even be rioting in "white" states. I can just see a tiny army of democratic Idahoans (all 2 of them) lofting potatos at their Republican neighbors.

(The jokes are an defense mechanism)

On an aside...does anyone remember that sketch (was it the State) where teacher was telling his class that it was illegal to say, I want to kill the president, and as soon as the words were out of his mouth the Secret Service showed up, guns a-blazing. Hilarious!

[Read the article: McCain loses again]

I say with all respect to you, New York Lawyer as well as your partisan foes virtue and clapham, please, for the love of god, shut the fuck up about the Joe The Plumber! K-Rhist on frigging K-Rutch! I, as a Obama supporter, could care less if he is a plant. If he is, I just feel SORRY that the Republicans and that John McCain (who I generally like even though I don't agree with his politics) would stoop so low as to do such a thing. And the converse is true; if the liberal blogosphere is making this shit up, I think its a bit of an overkill. You just need to bury the Republicans; there is no need to piss on their graves.
