Up with this bullshit I will not put
[Read the article: Clinton: "I am in this race"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]That's a line from She Devil. God I, love that book I even love the movie.
Anyway, to all of the crazy Clinton supporters who may or may not be trolls (ShawnWm, Redgitmo, lolcait, factoidus et all)
1) Every person in this country, irrespective of political party, irrespective of ideology, race, sex, class, etc has the righ to vote for whoever the hell they want in the election. They can use whatever criteria they wish (from I'd like to get drunk with him to she is the friggin messiah)
2) It is the JOB of the person running for a particular office to campaign and appeal to the electorate in such a manner as to make them want to vote for them.
3) None of you can know the future. NONE of us knows the hearts and minds of the entire American population. Your friends who say this, some poll that says that, etc., etc., is pretty much bull shit. It isn't November yet. Heck, we don't even have a democratic nominee yet. Speculation is just that, speculation. Maybe America won't vote for black man, or for this particular black man, but we will most likely have the opportunity to find out. I'm sorry, but thats the truth. And this goes for the Hillary Clinton isn't electable crowd as well.
4) This Obama supporter will not be crying in November if we lose. Thats life. Maybe the reason why we don't win elections is because unlike our Republican overlords, we spend too much time trying to find someone who is "electable" rather than backing any motherfucker (can you say Bush) and making him or her "electable." Because, as I send before, it is the JOB of the person running for office to make him or herself palpatable to the public. It is the JOB of the party to back their nominee with every friggin ounce of their being and make sure he or she gets elected.
And I'm spent...

God and Hitler
[Read the article: Rick Santorum's twisted logic]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]"What we are saying is that we would prefer man-made law over God. Didn't we see enough of that with Hitler and the tyrants of the world?"
I don't know about the rest of you, but I was always struck when reading the first few books of the Old Testamant (and I mean the Old Testament, specifically the King James translated illustrated version of the Christian Bible with the red writing and blonde haired blue-eyed Jesus in a white robe talking to children and lambs) how much of a tyrant God was. And if you stepped out of line, even a little, God opened a can of whupass. God's like a small town sherriff in Texas: "Boy, you eyeballing one of my angels....well everyone in your city, even the littlest baby his mother's womb, is gonna die.
Heck, you didn't even need to step out of line (like the story of Job) and you got your ass whupped. I mean, the First Commandment in the Christian tradition is pretty much all about how you better obey, fear, worship and not blashpeme God or ELSE because God is one jealous diva. Sounds a little tyranical to me...

Electro Robot
[Read the article: Obama basically concedes two upcoming primaries]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Did anyone say that it's evil for white voters to only vote for Hillary? It is understandable, at least for me, that voters in West Virginia and Kentucky, both Southern and both very white, who are democrats, would vote for the white woman over the black man. Whether it's due to racism, conservatism (Clinton is much more familiar to them, and Southerners are nothing if not traditional) or because they agree with her policies more (though the difference between the two are miniscule) that is their right.
It is perfectly okay for pundits to point this out, but I think anyone running for President should be careful not focus too much in their speeches and interviews on demographics.
Obama has never said, I only get black people to vote me. Big City, old school, identity politic campaigning, in my opinion, is really what is killing the Democratic Party. Obama isn't running to be the President of Black America and liberal elite America. But Clinton, however, by pointing out how white folks just love her to death, gives the impression that she is only running to be the president of white working class America. I wish her luck with that.
Also, aren't West Virginia and Kentucky red states who traditionally go Republican anyway? So who cares...isn't that what all the Clinton supporters said when Obama was winning red states?

Proud Texas Girl
[Read the article: Can Democrats learn to talk about race?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Do you even realize how you sound with all of that "Go back to Africa" bullshit. You sound like a racist.
Since I don't know you, I'm not going to say you are a racist, but damn girl.
And another thing...
Not all black people are on welfare. Not all black people are "getting paid" to have babies. Not all black people need the help of a social worker.
Sometimes white people go on welfare. I know, shocking. Sometimes hispanic people. Heck, there are young women in both groups who are getting paid to have babies.
I understand that working in the trenches can make you crazy, but I don't think you can be an effective social worker if you only see your clients in terms of their race, and not as individuals.
