[Read the article: Randi Rhodes calls Hillary Clinton a whore]

Why is it that whenever anyone calls a white person a name, people like you have to say, well if they called Black person X the same name everyone would scream it was racist and evil! People like you are all about the double standard, about how oppressed you are by those loudmouthed "negroes" who whine about every little thing and don't stand up when white pepole get called names.

Maybe white people should spend a little more time standing up for themselves, like black people have had to do. The reason why there is always a brouhaha when white people say racist shit (like Richards and Imus) is because black people make the brouhaha. Look, I don't want to limit someone's speech, but that doesn't mean you aren't accountable for what you say. And I do think, some of these things are pretty silly. So Rosenkavier, it's not good enough that Tracey Flores Clark is reporting on the shock jocks words, that most of the people posting here don't necessarily think it was nice to call Clinton a "fucking" whore? Even Rhodes' own radio station suspended her, but that's not good enough either? What do you want, Obama to apologize for Rhodes? For all of us Obama supporters to apologize that there are people like that who say nasty things about Clinton publicly (sometimes I wonder what awful things Clinton supporters might say about Obama privately. I've certainly seen him called the gamut of racial epithets from porch monky to the n-word, though I like to beleive folks saying stuff like that are republican trolls and not Clinton Supporters.)

I'm only responsible for myself, for what I say; If a black person goes around calling white people racial epithets, then I'll tell that person I'm offended, but it's not MY fault. I feel the same way about white people; I don't blame all white people for Imus or Richards. You should treat Obama supporters the same way.

"For centuries, people have just known that premarital sex leads to out-of-wedlock births, which lead to increase in crime rates and all kinds of other ills of society."

Yeah, no one ever engaged in premarital sex centuries ago. Well, no well bred woman that is. There were prostitutes and dance hall girls for the young gentleman to sate his desires on however. Mistresses, as well, who, sometimes got knocked up and Lord Farquot either had the choice of supporting his progeny or kicking the unfortunate girl and baby to the curb. There were plenty of nameless little bastards running around, and they didn't even have recourse under the law like they do nowadayas. But those were born to the lower classes, so who cares?

If you want to stop the number of unwed mothers out there, let's go back to what they did centuries ago but make everyone do it; marry ALL women off at sixteen or younger, a year or two after she's gotten her menses. It's pretty hard to ask us women (and unnatural to boot) to ignore our sexual urges for 15 years or so. Most men, back in the day, didn't ignore them, either, hence the whores, courtesans, and mistresses.

Or better yet, let's let people decide if they want to fuck or not to fuck, and stop trying to say that back in the day, things were better. Because they weren't. Things sucked as hard as they do now for the vast majority of people unlucky enough to be born.

    Too bitter?

  • Okay, Folks might come down hard one me

But I find this story profoundly disturbing. I know people have the right to do whatever they want with their bodies (well up to a point) but I have to be honest, also really upset me. Not because I'm against transgendered folks. My baby sitter growing up was transgendered, and she was awesome. Granted, I thought she was a woman until I got old enough to figure it out, but after I got over my adolescent shock, I still loved her and I cried at her funeral. This is not to throw out the, some of my best friends are gay trope, but I guess I am. But here's my problem:

I thought people became get a sex change because they suffered from body dismorphia, that its an actualy disease, and they want their physical self to match their inner self. Therefore, she became a he.

Hes don't have babies. Hes can't get pregnant. How much dismorphic can he be if he can spend 9 months going through such an female process! To me it seems he is getting all of the perks of looking like a male (and whatever Brightstar might say, there are perks to being a male) , the perks of marrying his partner because he is legally a male, with one of the greatest upsides to being a woman; having a baby. Maybe I'm just a bitch, but even though it didn't disgust me, it kind of pisses me off with the unfairness of it all.

Okay, whatever. To each his own, and I wish him and his happy little family all of the happiness they can have.
