And as for drug use in our canidates
[Read the article: Quote of the day: Obama on Clinton ]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Do you want the president to have to piss in a cup like you did? Because in South Carolina they are considering a law to make every elected official in the state take period drug tests after a representative was arrested on cocaine trafficking charge (or something like that.)
That seems fine to me, even though I think drug tests are ridiculous for most workers and a waste of money.
I don't know though; plenty of kids I went to college with (a Little Ivy BTW) did a shit load of drugs when they were 18 or 19 and now they don't even take cold medicine. They are doctors, budding politicians, one of them is a rabbi. If you want to use recreational drug use as a litmus test, then it's your right as voter. If you see it as hypocritical, (though the person you are at 18 isn't necessarily the person you are at 45, I'm sorry it's true) then that's your right as well.

You're kind of awesome, LT Bohica
[Read the article: Quote of the day: Obama on Clinton ]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]It's nice having a civil conversation with someone on this board. I apologize if I misread you. It's only natural to get heated, but I strongly beleive (maybe I'm naive) that if you sit most people down in a room together, after they've exhausted themselves fighting about their politics, religion, etc, they'll end up showing each other pictures of their kids and shooting the shit.
I think from now on I'm going to ignore all articles pertaining either to Obama or Clinton (don't hold me to it) because it makes me crazy. It's like crack, battling trolls, crafting witty responses, etc. I'm spending most of my workday angry; I get enough of a blood pressure work-out reading the editorial page at my newspaper.
I wish I had checked out Mike Gravel (or had the time to do it.) By the time we had the primary down here in Georgia, it was too late.

[Read the article: The "plagiarism" problem]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Wow,
You sure thought about this one a lot. I guess we'll have to agree to disagree, because personally, I don't see it as that big of deal. Like Obama. I don't know, academia is a different from the real world, at least that's how I see it. Oftentimes, when you're riffing with friends, you'll come up with phrases, and ideas, and maybe you might forget where that cool new phrase actually came from. That isn't the case with Obama, but that's kind of how I see it.
I remember sitting in my college English discussing some piece of postmodern theory, and I said, My friends and I were discussing the book last night...etc. I said My friend said this, rather than saying her name specifically. She actually didn't talk to me for a week. I suppose I forgive Obama is intellectual dishonesty because I've been guilty of it. I apologized since I hurt her feelings and we moved on.
I don't know though, didn't he apologize for it? What more do you want from him?

Is Rove an advisor on McCain's campaign?
[Read the article: The "plagiarism" problem]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]And would John McCain even have him if he was? Wasn't Rove behind the illegitmate black child swift boating of McCain in 2000? Say what you want about McCain, but I don't think he's the kind of man to forgive that.
I'm just asking, because people keep bringing him up as a kind of bogeyman. I wonder how much juice he still has. Like he's powerful enough to convince all Republicans to vote Obama in the primaries, and he's connected to the Obama campaign and pulling the strings to ensure there's no Clinton presidency. He's like the Masons, the Jews, and the Illumaniti all rolled into one!

Sorry, I wasn't clear
[Read the article: The "plagiarism" problem]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]My friend was pissed that I didn't credit her by name. I'm sorry, I'm at the end of a long day after an even longer night and I'm a bit incoherent...
I don't know, you're obviously very intelligent (even though I don't agree with 99% of the things you say regarding Mr. Obama) and maybe you are correct in what constitutes plagiarism and what doesn't.
I suppose it's like the whole Carlos Mencia joke-stealing brouhaha. Unfortunately, the guy (can't remember his name) who accused him (Mencia is notorious for stealing other people's jokes) ended up losing his agent while Mencia inked a fat contract with Comedy Central. Let's hope the same thing doesn't happen to Clinton, eh?

AKA Smith - Dan Brown
[Read the article: The "plagiarism" problem]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]We at least agree on one thing, Dan Brown SUCKS. Dear lord, that man couldn't write his way out of a paper bag.
I swear, his book sitting on the best sellers list for so long was the real conspiracy, not the whole Mary Magdalene bullcrap. I think the Church secretly told people to read the book just so they could divert all of the negative attention from pedophilic priests to an ancient Catholic cabal of killers.

[Read the article: How Obama won Wisconsin ]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]It's sad that you feel the need to denigrate Obama supporters in such away. You are, unfortunately, repeating tired talking points which aren't doing anything to help wake up these supposed cult members; instead you are just alienating us. If you want us to stop snorting the magic peace dust, then maybe you should focus on why the canidate you're backing (I won't presume to know) is better than what Obama is offering.
To be honest, aren't most of Obama's policies very similiar to Clinton's policies? And don't they have a comprabable amount of time in elected office?
So, please, tell us brainwashed Obamabots why we should be supporting Hillary.

[Read the article: How Obama won Wisconsin ]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]His name is Barack Hussein Obama. Not Jesus Hussein Christ and certainly not Barry. You can make your point without "calling him out of his name." If you think he's going to be another Carter, fine, but could you please show him some respect, just like you did Carter.
I will also swear (and I can't talk for other Obama supporters) to call Clinton Clinton and show her the respect she deserves as sitting Senator and a former first lady.
Alright?
PS: I think there's a harder core to Obama than Carter. But we're all entitled to our opinion.
