  • EXACTLY!!

[Read the article: New York Post endorses Obama]

, Why do Hillary supporters somehow think its a good thing that so many people in this country hate her? And, conversely, it's bad for Obama that so many people across the political spectrum like him? Yeah, who needs to win elections, anyway.

    ,

I have never understood this either. I mean, you want as many people as possible to be open to your message, and therefore open to the possibility of voting for you. Why is it that HRC supporters are either happy with the fact, or simply ignoring the fact that their candidate is only competing for 60% of the total electorate FROM DAY ONE?

  • Joan, you are totally WRONG.

[Read the article: Obama and race in California]

I am half black. If I show a picture of my mom to a white woman I am dating, am I trying to set her at ease, or just showing her a picture of a woman I love?

If I show a pic of my father, amd I somehow sexist against my mother, or am I playing the "race card"?

Goddamnit, Joan, you floating this idea of yours that he is "checking more than one racial box" is irresponsible.

HE IS MULTI-ETHNIC. Just as WHITE AS HE IS BLACK, despite the one drop rule, that is racist in itself.

What if he showed pictures of his dad when he is talking about Automobile safety? Would he be "checking the black men who don't use seatbelts" box?

  • Let's keep it in perspective..

He hasn't brought in any of those groups. That's media spin. Obama lost New Hampshire, Nevada, and now Florida. He lost with every single demographic group in Florida except African-Americans.

He barely won Iowa. His only big win was in South Carolina.

And do you think the Ted Kenndy endorsement will bring in Republicans and Independents? Not likely.

How did he lose in every single demographic group and still somehow pick up more delegates so far than Clinton?

Let me tell you: Because he BARELY loses in certain demographics, and wins big with Independants, Republicans that are giving up on their party, and Black people, (who, while making up only about 13% of the total population of this country, made up 18.9% of the votes for Gore in 2000).

Bottom line: HRC is only really looking at a best case Scenerio where she is fighting over 60% of the total electorate. If she even gives up 11% of that, she loses.

Do we really want to pray that we can win with such a flawed candidate? It's not like Hillary can trump up a war in order to keep the people scared and in office like Bush did... She can only Vote for it.. like Hillary did.

  • Electability

The thing is, Obama is the one that can beat McCain.

Hillary has 1 thing going for her, "experience". That's about it, and McCain has that over her by leaps and bounds.

So what it comes down to like always is who can get their people out and win Independents. Well, the Repubs are going to get behind McCain IF he is against HRC. If not, they will stay home. Independents go for McCain in VAST NUMBERS over HRC, and the youth vote that will show up for Obama will not be ther for HRC, leaving her with pretty much the old guard of the Democratic party. The same people that Kerry and Gore had, and we knew how that turned out.

If you want a Republican in the White House for 4 more years, then go ahead and vote for Hillary. If you do, and she wins the primary nomination, then you will get the America you deserve in the grand old Democratic Party tradition of shooting yourself in the foot.

Myself, I am going to vote for a candidate that can win the White House, and his name is OBAMA.

  • simple.

, LOL.You're so silly. Mr. No-Show inthe Senate is going to beat the infamous, "moderate", bipartisan, experienced and patriotic Big Daddy Keep You Safe McCain exactly how?

Considering that the best argument people have agaist Obama is that he didn't show for alot of Senate Votes, as opposed to the, 48% or so of people in this country that won't vote for HRC no matter what, I think Obama is in great shape in the primary. And the polls back that up.

Even better, McCain cant even say anything whatsoever about those missed votes, so what precicely is he going to say about Obama again?

  • Easy answer:

KERRY IS ONE OF OBAMAS ENDORSERS! DID HE MAKE A MISTAKE ALSO?

Yes he did, back when he took the politically cowardly vote to authorize the war. He is making up for it in part by supporting a man who had better judgement and more political courage than he does.

  • Just wanted to point out...

[Read the article: Who won Super Tuesday?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

    Delegates:

Obama won the Delegates. That's what HRC herself said it was all about. Therefore he won super Tuesday.

Momentum: He has the momentum coming off that win from Super Tuesday, and is projected to win at least 6 of the next 7 states.

    Financially:

HRC injected 5 mil of her own money into her campaign.

The Obama response? Since the polls closed yesterday (less than 24 hours ago) we, the people of this country, have donated over 6.2 million dollars to the Obama campaign.

The people are speaking with their wallets, and they are saying: OBAMA.

  • To be fair..

[Read the article: Report: Richardson to endorse Obama]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

As a superdelegate will Bill Richardson represent new mexico voters, as hillary won the vote there. how about Ted Kennedy.

They don't care, they will do what they think is best for themselves.

Let's keep this in perspective: If all the supers went proportionally to whomever won their states, I think that Obama would have a much larger lead than he currently does.
