ProWar Gilmore Dies Suddenly
[Read the article: Ohio congressman found dead in Washington]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]It is a shock when someone dies suddenly. It is even worse to have a loved one in Iraq wondering everyday if they will make it through the day alive. And for what- this NeoCon war of choice? Gilmore was an enthusiastic supporter of this war. I feel bad for the Gilmore family but not as bad as I feel for the families of the troops in Iraq. Everyday soldiers "suddenly die" in Iraq and in a war that we were misled into supporting.

Big Problem- Huckabee and the Fair Tax
[Read the article: What happened to Fighting Rudy?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]As far as the Christian right is concerned- Huckabee has it all except his support for the Fair Tax. Churches get so many benefits now under the current system- they don't want to rock the boat with the Fair Tax. If not for this "deal breaker" -the Christian Right would be on Huckabee like white on rice!

I agree with rexprimoris
[Read the article: The presidential primary scam]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]It should be a one day primary- why should any state have more influence than another? There are really 3 parties now with declining Republicans and growing independents. I'd love to see Al Gore run as an independent and blow things wide open.

thank God for Dodd!
[Read the article: Chris Dodd to block FISA bill]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]While the top tier candidates suck up all the media attention and all the air from the room- it's only the so called "second tier" candiates- Dodd, Biden, Richardson that have any backbone. I guess the last thing the corporate owned media wants is them to get any real acknowledgement or attention. I am so sick of being force fed the top tier candidates by the MSM.
This hold will allow the story to filter down to the general public.

The Polls are wrong;
[Read the article: McCain apes Bush on Iraq, as Dems stand passively by]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]It is impossible to believe that McCain would get that close to Hillary or Obama. Look at the pathetic turnout for Republcians in the primaries. Democrats turn out almost 2 to 1. It is way too early for these polls to be accurate. Once the Democratic nominee is picked the war will be front and center again.

Not my first choice --but I'll take Obama over Clinton
[Read the article: Paul Krugman criticizes Obama supporters]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I do like Paul Krugman but I don't agree with him on this point.
I was so surprised that experienced candidates like Biden or Dodd never got any traction --they barely registered any votes. But between the war votes and Kyl-Lieberman I was turned off to Hillary. But the real clincher was that interview with Katie Couric - when she insisted "I will be the nominee". That just solidified my doubts about Hillary- "It was almost like- "We will rule again!".
It time for Democrats to turn the page. Washington needs a total overhaul. This makes Obama seem like a fresh horse. And I think he will get the nomination in spite of all the Clinton wheeling and dealing and back room bargaining. It's very interesting to watch.

The supporters from both camps stunk!
[Read the article: "Name some of Barack Obama's legislative accomplishments ... if you can" ]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The Clinton supporter just rattled off the memorized Clinton talking points. The Obama supporter was clueless- something the Obama camp will have to be aware of going forward. My 16 year old niece watching with me last night knew more about Obama's accomplishments and she isn't even old enough to vote!
Joe Klein pointed out on "Morning Joe" today that John Kennedy was a mediocre senator but a great president because he was a better executive. Although Hillary has proven to be a good senator - when you compare how the 2 campaigns are run- the Obama campaign is much better.
On the Democratic side it boils down to 2 choices. I can't believe that Hillary could be objuective with all the special interest money she has raked in. Obama has a much more positive message and the prospect of another Clinton High Drama administration is a real turnoff.

They made their bed- now they lie in it!
[Read the article: Should Florida and Michigan vote again? ]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]These are adults that went into this situation with their eyes open. They KNEW if they changed their date they would not be seated. That was THEIR choice. Now they regret their decision? Is not our problem.

Can't refuse dinner with OBAMA
[Read the article: Raffle craze strikes innocent presidential candidates]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I was going to log in and send Obama a donation anyway so I am totally jazzed that I will go in a drawing for dinner with Obama. It's a good tactic. For those of us meaning but not getting around to donating- it's a little incentive.
Even the chance of VIP tickets to Elton John couldn't get me to donate to Hillary though.

Michigan and Florida knew the rules.
[Read the article: Michigan primary law ruled unconstitutional]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I think Michigan and Florida are crying over spilled milk. But I love the way this blogger on Huffington Post sums it up!
SLone08
Florida and Michigan knew the rules and ignored them. We're not going to let them be kingmakers in this election after 48 other states complied with DNC wishes.
****SLone08- I totally agree. - Opus007.

Hillary made her own bed
[Read the article: Tin-eared at MSNBC]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The Clinton campaign was always ready to cry foul. But it never seemed that the Clinton campaign could ever recognize it's own mistakes- and there were many. I don't think the coverage of her was sexist- that was another card for the Clinton's to play.
Running a campaign is about management and the Clinton's lost BIG! It was also about grace under pressure--another big loss for the Clintons. The Clintons complaining about unfair treatment in the press is predictable since over the years -we have all seen how they wallow in self pity.
I am so sick of the Clintons and I have no patience for their drama in these tough times. I used to adore the Clintons but now I just want them to get out of my face. Some Clintons supporters may hang back for the pity party and that is their choice.
