Original article: Woodward's disgrace

Woodward is a sham

The fact that Bob Woodward is still seen as some kind of hero shows just how much American's reads. Which is not much.

The guy was a CIA briefing officer and worked on top secret communications on one of the most secret ships in the Navy. How convienant for him to happen to have access to top people at the FBI and "expose" the so called "Watergate" scandal.

He is and always has been a sham and anyone who believes him is an idiot and a dumbshit. To be shocked by him defending the most corrupt administration we've ever had is to prove my point above.

Original article: Jolting Joe

Lieberman is crap

Joe Leiberman is a cocksucker. I just can't say it any plainer than that. As long as we have "repub-locrats" like him, the GOP will win each time. Since I'm a registered democrat I get calls all the time usually late at night from the party asking for money/donations. I tell each college kid they have calling me that I'll not give any more money, not one more DIME to the democrats until they grow a pair of balls and speak out against the war. I'm sick to death of my party's weakness and Joe Leiberman is a big part of the problem, along with Hillary (whom I would've never thought would be such a drab.) As far as I can tell the democrats have no one with an ounce of chrisma or any force of personality to pull us out of this slump. I can only conclude that they are in bed with the republicans because they think they see the "big picture;" mainly that we need to get control over the Middle East so we can corner the market on fossil fuel since they realize that it's finite while the American public continues to think the center of the earth is fill with oil that will never run out...

Original article: Out of jail, into the Army

Army or sw'Army

Lots of interesting comments here posted by thoughtful folk. I'm adding my 2 cents worth:

I just read your article a few days ago about women serving in Iraq who are afraid to go to the bathroom at night for fear of getting raped. I wonder how this information fits in with ex-felons being recruited. (You might counter with "how many of the waivers were for assault or rape?" But not all rapists are repeat offenders, some might be violent guys who now have an easier opportunity for what they were gravitating towards anyway but just didn't have the chance while stateside.)

Yes the army did take guys who would otherwise be going to jail during Vietnam (and other wars). I personally know a few guys who told me this story. And they did fine, they were not really bad guys but like another reader commented, they made mistakes and were redeamed. I don't want to give the impression that people can't change because I know they can. Heck our jails are filled with drug offenders and they aren't all evil folks.

Dammit, war is hell and perhaps a few psychos thrown in the mix of an othewise decent group of people serving may or may not be even noticable. We're not there, we don't know of how many Iraqi people are shot, raped, tortured or terrorized by our troops. How many people today even know or remember the Mai Lai massacre? (Excuse my spelling if I got it wrong.)

From another view I also find it interesting that the army has a hokey "don't ask don't tell" thing going on for gay folk, but they are willing to take ex-felons.

AND last but not least: they aren't the only ones to "employ" ex-felons. Ex-felons are everywhere from Oliver North on Fox news to Mike Tyson STILL boxing (you should do an expose on how many sports "heros" are rapists and wife-beaters, you could fill you entire newspaper with that subject.)

Naked Launch

To all you dorks out there who are saying "it's art" and "get over it" to Rebecca: I think that gay dude is just jealous of women and is doing his best to degrade them. And you mens who think it's art, FUCK YOU! YOU don't know SHIT about how fucked up it is to be a woman and put up with this art shit! It's total bull! How about if we put YOUR fucking balls and small penises all over the place to sell stupid crap? How would you like that?????

yeah, it pisses me off. As soon I as see mens naked and used to sell garbage, then I might consider the "art" angle again. Oh and that guy who said to study art history? FUCK YOU too!

Original article: Lost and found

Pray for the ending of this crap!

Do you think your "writers" could actually READ a book once in a while? This article made me hork my breakfast. Oh boy! I can't wait to read about another self-absorbed rich bitch and how she examines her worthless crapy life while traveling to places I can never afford. Gosh! How exciting and NEW!!!!!! I've never heard of this before!!! Excuse me, I need to go turn on my tv and watch some gays redecorate a fake millionaire's house on a desert island while faking his own death to marry a midget whore who's actually a MAN baby!!!!!

I'm drooling over here!

Original article: Amazing journey

the REAL Incredible Journey

As a single mother with a close relationship with my son I was moved by this review of a child's journey to reunite with his mother. Sadly I think we'll see or hear of more of these journeys as people in South American continue to be exploited by working conditions in their countries which includes poverty at a level most American's can't even imagine as they sip their lattes on their cell phones in their SUVs while driving little Billy to baseball practice.

Original article: You've got good mail

You slop mail

Who cares?????

AOL is for morons anyway. So they miss a few "important" emails from corporations, groups, PACs, etc. This is sure to cause many sleepless nights for everyone!
