The Huckster and McCain are not quite as repugnent, which is not saying much. Ron Paul hits the nail on the head when it comes to foreign policy and the goes off into gaga land when it comes to domestic policy. I hope the Rethugs nominate the Huckster because a) it will piss off the oxycontin addict and b) I really believe America has had enough of this loony American version of the taliban BS. Maybe he can take Ghouliani as his running mate. Then all the Dems have to do is run the drag queen video 24/7 and we are home - not even diebold can cheat that much.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]I have been waiting for someone to believe in. I hoped that Russ Feingold might get in the race. After the debacle of 04 I refused to give money to anybody but Russ and his Patriot Fund. But I broke down yesterday and gave money to the Edwards campaign. He is the only viable Democrat willing to take on the corporate interests that are strangling our country. I am tired of the consultant tested mealy mouthed politicians. I need someone to stand up for me. I am a self-employed small businessman being muscled out by big business. Give John a chance; for once I don't think you will be disappointed.

They have too many skeletons in the closet to risk someone whose strings they can't pull. I think they would rather have Hillary than Huckabee. Thats not to say that would should welcome him just that its nice to see the Republican elite hoisted on their own Christian Fundi petard for a while.

My first thought was that the Clinton comeback was a backlash against the hateful treatment of the Clintons by the media. Don't get me wrong. I don't care for Hillary as I consider her a Corporate shrill. However, even I could not help but feel sympathy for her based on how they behave.
The MSM acts as if President Clinton was a hated President instead of the most popular of our modern times (match Clintons tracking poll numbers over his 8 years against Reagan and you will see that Clinton was way more popular and yet the media refer to RR as if he was loved by everybody and WJC as if he was universally hated). I am personally sick of it. So while I am an Edwards man I wasn't unhappy to see the voters of NH sock it to the MSM.

I have no idea why Salon continues to employ Manjoo. He loves to afix the "tin foil hat" label to people who raise resonable questions about our electoral process. If you think the Rethugs are not capable of fixing an election then I have some Iraqi WMD's that I would like to sell you. Votes must be fair and transparent. Recound everything - what would it cost - 0.000001% of the cost of one month in Iraq I would guess. Send Manjoo to work for the PNAC. He can wear his own custom tin foil hat there.
