  • Nukes in space before..

[Read the article: Does the satellite shoot-down video really show a hit?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Okay Manjoo, I won't keep up the smackdown about your cruise missile gaffe.. I just want to add that in the 60's, a megaton-size nuclear warhead was detonated by the US at about the same altitude in the Pacific some ways from Hawaii.. Don't know about the fallout, but an EMP (ElectroMagnetic Pulse) knocked out streetlights on the islands.

  • If someone dropped bombs on my home, he'd be dead if I caught him..

[Read the article: "Journey to Freedom"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

    Some "hero".

He didn't get drafted against his will. He knew the risks, he brought death and destruction to another country, and in my opinion, he should thank his lucky stars he wasn't shot outright upon capture.

We here in Arizona know this guy is as full of shit as a christmas turkey, too.

  • Well, I have no objection..

[Read the article: FDA disregarded results on food from cloned animals]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

If the base animal is safe to eat, why would the clone be any different, save from what is added to the beast after it's born (Hormones, antibiotics, etc.)..

Would it make any kind of sense to use a base animal with genetic problems?

I don't see any reason not to consume it if it's a clone of a healthy animal.

  • ...Ramsay, Try that abusive shit in my crowd..

[Read the article: In memory of Gordon Ramsay]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Not being of the finger-cake and brie eating culture, I wouldn't give that schmuck one hour in any kitchen in America that caters to the blue-collar man and woman.

He'd be toothless after one outburst. Lack of respect for someone's dignity will get you a swift asskicking in middle class, underpaid and overworked America.

  • Politeness..or at least watching your mouth online..

[Read the article: Don't blame YouTube, MySpace for teen beating video]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

The Beatee shot her mouth off online. I don't excuse what happened to her, but I've seen plenty of instances where people flame the crap out of others, thinking they're "invisible"

No, you're not. Now, in this case the attakers knew the victim, but it really isn't hard to track down anyone who talks shit over the Internet.

A lesson that might sink in to some of those who write checks with their mouths that their asses can't cash?

    Maybe?

  • Wouldn't it have been cool..

[Read the article: Torching the Olympics]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

If the Toilet Plunger Torch had been carried proudly along the original parade route.. Drawing press attention from the other torch, and ending up on the news everywhere instead?

    Oh well.

  • I bet it's a bear..

[Read the article: "Tech doping"? How Speedo's LZR suit breaks swim records]

Getting it off for a emergency bathroom break..

  • Just lame.

[Read the article: MoveOn picks winner of Obama ad contest]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

MoveOn isn't getting a penny from me for this ad. More teeth! A local progressive radio station has billboards around Phoenix with a picture of McCain and the Chimp together with "MORE OF McSAME?" in big bold letters above it.

Grow a pair and get in the fight, MoveOn.

  • A lot of something over nothing.

[Read the article: What's so bad about "sweetie," anyway?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Rebecca, you need to chill some. If the words sweetie, hon, dear, and love referring to a stranger were all made to be "inappropiate", there wouldn't be a truckstop diner, Denny's or coffee shop in the country with a waitress not in trouble over saying it.

  • Irresponsible breeding, and low paying jobs, Welcome to the back of the bus..

[Read the article: Indiana Jones and the kingdom of fat kids]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Quote from article: "Many families, especially poor ones, get a whole lot for their hard-to-earn dollars when they buy cheap, processed and calorie-dense foods. Fresh fruits and vegetables are more expensive, don't last as long and take time to prepare -- time that's hard to find if both parents work full time to pay the bills. This gap between the waistlines of the rich, middle class and poor is only going to get worse with rising food prices"

Good Doctor, this is the root of the problem. It's too expensive to eat well. Many of us don't have a Whole Foods, Wild Oats, or similar store, and at minimum wage or slightly better, nobody can afford to buy "good" food. Kudos to you for acknowledging this fact.

People need to use birth control too. Look at the explosion of children and the lack of thought given as to how much it costs to raise one.

  • Farhad, ask the makers a question for me?

[Read the article: Hop aboard my Smart car taxi!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

How come it doesn't get 50mpg like..ah, er, the Suzuki three cylinder, 5-speed that has been made since the 1980's? ,,You know, the Suzuki Swift/Geo Metro/ Chevy Sprint/ Pontiac Firefly -All the same car.

The Suzuki also seated four, including a 6'4" guy in the back seat. It went an honest 100mph with a 50hp engine, and in my case (A late 90's Geo Metro), The car parked anywhere, and had cold A/C, which I hear the Smart does'nt?

Over 20 years of 50mpg, Farhad, ask them about it.. And for that matter, why didn't Chevy promote the Swift/Metro?

  • Make bicyclists pay, and play by the rules.

[Read the article: The wheel thing]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Bicycles are toys. Don't like that? Well, do they pay tag sees, do they have liability insurance?

Do bicyclists contribute anything other than dripping sweat and danger of being crushed? In Phoenix, it's rare to see anyone bicycling at night with a light or any kind of reflector. They're invisible, and frequently ride against traffic.

Pay to play. The streets wete not designed for bicycles, nor should they be accomondating.

Get a licence to ride it, get tags for it, and while you're at it, pay a extra fee for the heck of it.. Like maybe five bucks to put air in your tires.. Make up for what motorists have to deal with financialy, and maybe then you can bitch. Big Dogs Rule, lycra-wearers.

(Yes, it's SORT of tongue in cheek)

  • I grew up with relatives that were bedsheet-wearing Sub-Humans..

[Read the article: The new racist, anti-Obama fashion statement]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

..But I'm amazed at the "wink-wink, nudge, nudge" stuff I'm hearing about Obama at work. Don't kid yourself, a lot of people HATE the guy because he's black.

Just is. Wishing isn't gonna make it go away, lotta fear out here in Bubbaland.

  • If Obama get's elected..

[Read the article: The new racist, anti-Obama fashion statement]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

..not long after he's in office, all of this crap will be a non-issue. Like Ellen "coming out" on tv..yawn, okay.. noted.

This whole social thing is going to be a long-dead issue in a suprisingly short time.

  • Remember, Cindy McCain DRUG thief,,

[Read the article: Cindy McCain, cookie thief?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Why isn't anyone reinterating that she stole painkillers from a charity she was involved in?

Those drugs were intended for needy prople, instead, this addict took them for her own habit..

No softballs here. Use the truth and hopefully this bitch's history will get around to the voting public.

Maybe her and Rush can share "recipes" someday..

  • Btw, here's a good article about it from back when..
