Original article: The RV's last roundup

Thanks Cabdriver

I grew up in Phoenix (Been here 52 years), and if it wasn't for the damned 110-120 degree summer, I'd be staying in the RV year-round.

I work just a few hundred feet from my dwelling, and I love the job and the people I work with. Pay sucks, but this is right-to-starve state Arizona.. it is what it is.

We used to have "Snowbird Camps" East of the Valley back in the 50's-50's. Most of that open desert has been gobbled up by developers, making Yuppie Crackerboxes that run 200K and much more..

How long could I Vancamp with 200K in my savings?

Yeah, now you see, RV haters.

..Guess I should add..

I have been doing this for over five months with no electricity, save for the RV's house battery, some AA-powered lights, and a small solar panel.

The class B I own was built in 1982, and has a fridge, furnace (LP) and fold-out bed along with a loo and small shower.

I get around 12mpg with a 305ci Chevy, and it parks like..well, a van.

Rather than use up the 40gal water tank, I have a gym membership for showers nearby. 15.00/month, and I use a motorcycle to get there.

Yahoo Groups has a group if you'd like to know more.

Original article: The RV's last roundup

Well, I live in mine..

I am a "Stealthvancamper" and park my Class B (Think of a fully-loaded motorhome shrunk to ambulance size).

I make about 230.00 a week, and can't afford to rent an apartment in Phoenix. So, I live in a industrial park parking lot. This works in he Winter here, and let's me save enoughto rent a place for the seven-month Summer heat.

Expect a lot of folks Stealthvancamping soon. RV's have no resale value after ten years, and there's plenty, including 40' long Class A's going for around a thousand bucks or so.

...Beat's a tent, fellows.

The most honest article about whites I've ever read in Salon.

Thank you for explaining the white people's view of things, without tossing in a guilt trip.

I call bullshit here..

The best BBQ I've ever ate was prepared and served with pride by a black man in Houston. And he was the owner of the joint, too.

The whole book idea is just a way to get 13 bucks outta people's pockets. -Spend it instead at Luther's!

Original article: Our cupboard was bare

I always figure that when a food "bank"

Served me, I will pay back the "loan" with a donation later, when I'm better off.

Same with the soup kitchen, good karma.

Original article: One-term McCain presidency?

We in Arizona heard that lie before..

Carpetbagger John tried that stuff when he ran for Senator the first time.. Then it was a "mandate" for the pig to suck at the government teat for years to come.

Guy's a total fraud.

Jennifer, you've got a pretty strange sense of priorities, lady.

Bite us, fitness Nazis..

,,And what happens to McHealthy Olympic figure skaters after it's all done? They get to don a Goofy suit and do Disney on Ice, how embarassing.

Original article: Carnage at General Motors

Sell the Suzuki-made Chevy Sprint/Metro again..

The three-cylinder 5-speed, 50mpg car, Made for at least two decades, repeat..50mpg.

Sorry, I know I've said this before, but dammit, WHY didn't this car sell? I had one, and it was a very good machine.

50mpg should be GM's baseline, nothing less.

Watching sports is mental masturbation anyway..

If you're going to watch these farces, go ahead, otherwise turn the tv off, go outside, whatever.

The best way to deal with propaganda is to ignore it. The Olympics is about just that.. Propaganda to sell you on someone's politics, or sell you a consumer item..

So it goes with all the sports voyerisim. NFL, NBA, any of it.

Original article: Another McCain gaffe

Eh, I'll give him a pass on this one..

..Wait until he says something really dumb, like once a week or so.

Wednesday, July 9, 2008 02:03 PM

And we wonder about voter apathy...

-Replaced the Repugs in Congress with Democrats, check.

-Figure they'll listen to the will of the people, check..

-Same-old, same-old..... oops.

If there really is a christian hell..

Hope you're burning in it Jesse.

Frying to a crispy, Southern 11 herbs and spices brown..

Worst Wishes from all of us pagans out here in the U.S...

Let the worms eat ya and provide the Earth with something useful.

Wednesday, July 2, 2008 12:31 AM

Suzuki, bring back the Metro/Sprint.

Farhad, that thing is a POS. C'mon, 50mpg has been around for years with the Suzuki three-cylinder.. Why don't we see them sold here again? -That would be a REAL article.

Tuesday, July 1, 2008 02:03 PM

If there really IS a Santa Claus, Virginia..

This bum will be in the schoolbooks of children years from now as the traitor who shared a belated noose with Saddam Hussein, hung in the Hague Gymnasium for his war crimes against humanity..

Tuesday, June 24, 2008 04:09 PM

Start putting in the word now, Obama..

Want to be elected President by a REAL landslide?

Promise that you'll encourage the leaders of the other major countries to join AMerica in instituting a price cap on a barrel of crude (Using the benchmark),, $50.00US, no more.

Screw the Speculators. Screw Big Oil. And yes, Screw "Free Trade" which is a lie anyway.

Restore the economies of everyone. And tell every bicycle-riding Luddite enviromentalist cry-baby to pound sand, too.

It's the right thing.

Saturday, June 21, 2008 06:43 AM

I am so tired

Of having to vote for the lesser of two crooks. I'll pull the handle for Obama, but ..well, damn..

Friday, June 20, 2008 12:44 PM

@ Connie

There's at least two of us who think the Repugs will stoop to this.

I predict there will be black guys shouting "Black Power!" and maybe even a "Death to Whitey!" or similar in the next few months at an Obama function, along with a big elaborate dap or three..

Okay, take a pill and chill folks. You know there's gonna be racial slurs and dirty tricks abounding, get ready for it.

Original article: Cindy McCain, cookie thief?

Remember, Cindy McCain DRUG thief,,

Why isn't anyone reinterating that she stole painkillers from a charity she was involved in?

Those drugs were intended for needy prople, instead, this addict took them for her own habit..

No softballs here. Use the truth and hopefully this bitch's history will get around to the voting public.

Maybe her and Rush can share "recipes" someday..

Tuesday, June 17, 2008 01:18 PM

If Obama get's elected..

..not long after he's in office, all of this crap will be a non-issue. Like Ellen "coming out" on tv..yawn, okay.. noted.

This whole social thing is going to be a long-dead issue in a suprisingly short time.
