Karen

I wouldn't say not to donate any more money to MoveOn, because they do things that no one else can,

-- Karen M

I don't understand why you would even make that statement. MoveOn has raked in contributions since the BetrayUs ad. We want and need fearless advocates. That is 'MoveOn'. Am I missing something as to why you would even make a statement that seems to question donating money to MoveOn?

Karen

Sorry, Kitt...

-- Karen M

Thanks for the clarification.

I also don't get why LWM would did the Anon bit. But, what the hell, why should I expect myself to get what everyone is up to, and why?

Sunday, September 23, 2007 06:10 PM

Karen

But I honestly didn't notice that LWM was posing as Anon...

-- Karen M

No, me either. I don't even know if he really is. I'm just temporarily taking the word of a couple of other posters here. I don't pay attention to many of the anon posters so I have no idea if it's true that LWM is posting as an anon.

As an aside:

Everyone should go see 3:10 to Yuma. My sister-in-law's brother, Shawn Howell, plays Jackson. Plus, it's a great movie. I saw it yesterday.

Blustering Pelly

A study in how to make and ass of yourself, by Scott Pelley:

PELLEY: Mr. President, we appreciate your thoughts. Some people watching this interview, frankly, will think that you're dodging the questions because many of the questions that I ask you are fairly straightforward "yes" or "no" questions. And let me try this one again, if I may. Will you pledge tonight to do everything in your power to prevent Iranian arms from entering Iraq? Can you make that pledge?

AHMADINEJAD: Well, I think you have been charged with a mission to repeat a sentence over and over again. My comments are very clear. I think that you should go back and take American officials to task. Use the same force you're using right now so that they take the troops out.

PELLEY: Was that a "yes" or a "no," sir?

AHMADINEJAD: If you are to take sides, well, I don't know. Well, you shouldn't tell me what kind of answer I should give to you. You're free to ask me questions. I didn't put any limitations on your questions.

PELLEY: True.

enough with the "off the map" nonsense

http://www.antiwar.com/orig/norouzi.php?articleid=11025

It would fit the savage absurdity of these times if the intentional mistranslation of one misquote leads to a disastrous war...

-- lupercus

Thanks for posting that. I was looking for it but got distracted. It's very important to swat down that ignorant talking point misquotation.

wingspan too

So you don't think people here in America should be able to ask him questions?

And I would like to see a bit of reaction to the vile poster who wants to send all us Jews to Delaware and nuke Israel. Imagine the reaction if one us Jews had posted that about Iran?

-- al2323

What the hell is your point? Do you actually believe that the posters here agree with the shitwad anon person that posted that, just because we haven't wasted our fingers bringing attention to it's idiotic vile statement? Come on!

No, Kitt

If someone had expressed this kind of hate about some other group, the reaction here would have been strong. Just ignore it and It'll go away you say, if it's about the Jews. Give me a break. Of course I don't think posters here agree with this. I'd just love to see some reaction, without me bringing it up.

-- al2323

I really don't know what bone it is that your trying to pick or even what you're trying to say. We have people post inane nonsense like that anon person posted on here everyday. Sometimes it starts a shitstorm sometimes it's just too stupid to bother with. Your "bringing it up" is not heroic, its just about picking knits, accusing us of something we aren't guilty of or have anything to do with. Also known as floating a straw man.

Kitt,

My point is that some folks seem very selective about what flavor of hate they choose to ignore and what they will flame. You might find it easy and or convenient to ignore vile anti-semitism, but I do not and will not. If you think I'm picking nits, that's your issue, not mine.

-- al2323

How long have you been attending to this board? A day or three? We regulars, and various other drop ins and whatnot posters, have ripped so many vile anti-semite posters a new one on here that it would make your head spin, that is if you'd get it out of your ass long enough for it be able to spin.

Why don't you just knock it off with the hero play. You're no f'ing hero coming around here accusing everyone of not giving a shit about anti-semites. Get over yourself.

a123 up in flames

a123,

You might note that now there have been at least three, maybe four posts that either bring up genocide of Jews or accuse the bulk of the board members here of being gleeful if Jews are tromped upon. The anon person, who frequently says that kind of garbage, and then of course the ever repulsive Realname, aka, ~~~~ who hasn't posted a rational post on here, ever.

So if we, all of us, chose to be great big chest puffing heroes, like you think you are, we could have turned this thread into a 50 pager, stating the obvious, over and over again, arguing with simps and fools. Wouldn't that have been just so much productive fun?
