Republicans = George Foreman

They resemble a fighter who is in the ring with a once feared world champion who is now slumping against the ropes, totally exhausted and beaten, yet he is so terrified of his past reputation, he is afraid to engage and knock him out once and for all.

-- pantanal

Lets hope that the Democrats have been borrowing Ali's 'Rope a Dope' method all this time.

They're too easy for you, Glenn

Glenn, you're a practitioner of investigation. You are well versed at doing research. You're superbly good with words and at making a cogentn line of logic unfold in your writings. You've had and have honed those talents and abilities for quite some time. So, my question to you is, have you ever had an easier target than the Right Wing Bloggers? They seem to be the dictionary definition of 'fish in a barrel'.

Glenn

Also - I don't think the distinctions are that clear. Michelle Malkin is a blogger but also a Fox News regular and syndicated columinst. Jonah Goldberg is a blogger but also a regular columnist for the LA Times. Glenn Reynolds is a blogger but also a law professor, etc. They are all part of the same movement and the "blogger" part of it doesn't really operate according to a different set of rules.

-- GlennGreenwald

Thanks. Yes, that's true, some of the barrel fish swim or float from one pond to another. And it is amazing that some of them hold such usually respectable titles such as Law Professor. Seems like a student of Glenn Reynolds could make sport twisting him into knots. Maybe Reynolds is a professor in name only these days, and doesn't avail himself to the dfh students who might be prone to embarrassing him regularly .

"I am not gay."

Sheesh. These are golden days for the comedy pros. Go watch Senator Craig's "I am not gay" news conference posted on Crooks and Liars. Speaking of Crooks and Liars...does Craig fit that bill - on both counts - or what?

Reason # Two

Why I don't hang out with family values Christians like Mr. Wide Stance

I would need to take frequent showers and we had a very dry winter in California.

Unforgettable

I just watched Josh Marshall's TPM Ten Best Lies of Alberto Gonzalez video. You have to know that Gonzalez has watched himself spinning like a top. He probably didn't know how ridiculous he sounded before re-hearing himself. Maybe that's why he quit. No?

Golden Days!

The first words out of his mouth were this: "Thank you all very much for coming out today." He refused to answer any questions.

-- Glenn Greenwald

He even actually put some emphasis on the words, "coming out". like I said...golden days for the comedy pros.

Police duty...duty... snicker

I wonder what really cruddy thing you have to do to the guys at the police force to get demoted to being the guy who has to pretend like he's taking a dump in a stall at the airport all day long until some perve relieves you from your duty by making a pass at you.

baby Tiby boy in the playpen wants to know...

Glenn...

isn't there a possibility that Iran is attacking us in Iraq?

-- tiberius

Why don't you crawl out of your playpen and go over there to see if you can find out for yourself?

You folks and the evangelicals actually agree on one point

Exterminate the Jews and there will be world peace for eternity. All you differ on is the tactic employed and whether you see that as a good thing or a really really good thing.

--Anonymous

AIPAC and the Likud Party are not "The Jews". Please take your nonsense elsewhere, if you must continue with it.

99.9% of the people who comment regularly on this blog don't promote genocide, as you have suggested.

Yeah

"We hate the Iraq war but love the Iran war" will be an interest paradox to witness.

-- xititjur99

Yeah, I was non-plussed by the statement you replied to also. It made about as much sense as if vicious dogs were biting children in the neighborhood and so the dogs were being put down. And then one of the children fought back and killed one of the vicious dogs after having been attacked by the dog, so then the neighborhood suddenly took sides with the vicious dogs. Since, after all, the vicious dogs were their vicious dogs...don'tchaknow?

JBinMO

"Pray hard for generals with the courage to oppose this."

An attack on Iran would be bad news, but in the long run a millitary that does not obey the civilian, elected leadership would be far worse.

-- JBinMO

Far worse? So easy for you to say when it is not you and your loved ones on the wrong end of the insanely unwarranted assault?

To be straight up about it, I think our military leaders will be forever thought of as cowards if they don't put a stop to this shit Bush and the rest of his murderous cabal have in mind before it gets started.

@AisAlogic

I couldn't care less whether Craig is attracted to men or women; it's really none of my business, and none of Rogers' either. As long as he's not importuning minors, then it makes no difference to anyone except Craig and his family, and that's f the allegations have any basis in fact. The only time it becomes a public issue is if Craig insisted on an official government status of a same-gender relationship, which as a policy issue should be decided by the people.

That's from the guy who calls his blog Captain's Quarters. That's just one of several that Glenn quoted in his post. Read the post next time before mouthing off.
