You can tell me a bad pundits name a hundred times but I will still not recognize them when they are on TV. What's the point?

Please, I'm begging you. Stop handicapping your work. Use their press photos. It's a well established standard to do so.

Frequently someone or another complements Glenn Greewald on this blog for the great work he does. They thank him for his tireless investigating, fact finding, coherent writing and just for getting out a great story that needs to be gotten out.
So, how come it is too much to ask that readers, such as you, Plisko, can't just go to their favorite search engine, punch in the name of the person in question, and then punch in Imgages? What the hell would be so difficult about that?
Do I really need to justify this suggestion? I don't think we are talking about laziness here. I am just trying to contribute my own expertise to this effort. I'll put you down as one of the people who don't want it.

And my point had nothing to do with whether or not I want, you want, or anyone else wants it. And also I didn't think you to be incapable of finding images yourself. My point was that you and others have asked Glenn a number of times to do the picture thing, and for whatever reason he has chosen not to.
I just think it's rude to make such requests repeatedly. Especially in light of all that he does do.
I apologize for having suggested something else.

Good for you. I thought about weighing in when you were making your unfounded accusations but decided not to. It seemed you were just, unfortunately for you, trying to clumsily follow in the footsteps of people like Powerline's John Hinderaker. But people like Hinderaker know very well that they are liars and whores. Judging by how you made the effort to correct yourself, it seems that you don't want to fall into the footsteps of tools like Hinderaker after all.
On a side note about Juan Cole: I emailed Juan Cole once, and he promptly replied. He was just as generous with his time for me then as he was for you this time.
For one thing, this sentiment is almost always inauthentic. If the people who claim to believe this really believed it, they wouldn't be spending their time reading and commenting on poltical blogs - what would be the point, since it's all so very, very hopeless?
I share your head-shaking disgust with the 'victim-hood' posters. But there are reasons that some people attend political blogs besides wanting to take place in, and effect, the political process. Entertainment being one, and the opportunity to make self-congratulatory comments is another. It takes thought and digging deep to really care about, and to really try to effect the political process. A lot of people are either not willing or not able to make that effort. But that doesn't stop them from playing in the arena. They remind me of the boisterously abusive "fans" I hear shouting down the players when I attend a Major league baseball games.
"...we are willing to meet you in the middle of the road... we're not looking for confrontation here.''
How useful or not that statement is would all depend on one's definition of "the middle of the road".

Yep. It's not possible to exaggerate Bush's definition. He proved that again in his short conference as he stood in front of his big helicopter toy. If he had just settled for making a lot of BS statements about what a swell guy he thinks Gonzo is, that would have been dopey sounding but at least 'middle of the road' material. But, nope. He had to drive all the way over to where you described by saying this:
"It's sad that we live in a time that a talented and honorable person like Alberto Gonzales is impedid [sic] from doing important work because his good name was dragged through the mud for political purpose."--G Bush
I have no words other than foul ones to describe my thoughts about the person quoted above and his continued petulance.
There are third party supporters who read you and then chide you because we need you. We need your ability and depth of thought on our side. As Nequals has said, the two party system is full of the enemies of the constitution. When will it be too much for you? Since you probably make a good living, maybe never.
Peace,

I've been hearing this Third Party superiority line since as long as my memory is capable of memory retention. How many Third Party state senators or Representatives are there after all of these years of Third Party roll outs? Not many. How many Congress people or Senators are there now? Nearly zilch. And the Lieberman for Lieberman Party doesn't count.
Third Party folks go for the glory. The big banana. The Presidency. Where has that egocentric crap gotten us? Even Ralph Nader, a guy who should know better, since he's been involved and even successful in politics for decades, ran for the Big Cheesarino, President. What an Ass and fool he made of himself for doing that.
