However, that only begins to explain what we are up against, since it does not account for the creation of organizational norms, practices, ideologies, backchannel structures, etc. I think, for exmple, that the case of John Bolton might make an interesting case study.-- Paul Rosenberg
I would be interested to read an elaboration from you as to why you think John Bolton would make an interesting case study.
Whether you do that or not, I would at least like to here your thoughts on why he thought it would be a good idea for him to go one on one with Jon stewart on the Daily Show. And then why he would make the astoundingly and easily re-butted mis-characterization of the history of Abraham Lincoln in reply to what Stewart put forth to him about Lincoln.
This is all dependent upon whether or not you saw that show. And then, as a follow up, whether or not you saw the show a few nights later when Stewart made a comical but real phone call to Doris Kerns Goodwin.
To me, that would have been an embarrassment that I would possibly never be able to live down. Even if I made amends and was 'forgiven'. I would still play it over in my head and feel embarrassed.
I doubt that John Bolton has lost of night of sleep over his Daily Show appearance.
What do you think? If you would, please?
Are these people known for their honesty?
--Shooter
Honesty as opposed to whom? Your comments have forever made it clear that you don't believe that your total lack of honesty, the dis-honesty of the Bush Administration, the dis-honesty of the right wing blogs and echo chamber or the dis-honesty of the MSM in general mean anything to you.
So when you ask or wonder about the honesty of others...you have no credibility.
Nothing has changed due to your latest comment, in that you have never had credibility to me since the first dis-honest comment of yours that I read.
OK fine, you think Bush is worse than Osama bin Laden. At least I know where you stand.-anon
Umm, no, I think you've forgotten the concept of what a question is. It is something you are supposed to answer. It is not something you make a false statement to the questioner.
If you weren't sure of what the question was or not sure how to answer the question ask for more elaboration or explanation. If you are sure of what the question was, then just answer it and then wait for your turn to ask any questions you might have.
Which was it for you? If possible, please just answer the question.
Thank you
Has anyone else noticed....
That after yesterday's thread, shooter actually comes off seeming reasonable in comparison.
-- Paul Dirks
Reasonable? No, but at least he doesn't give me a headache. He's not as relentless.
What? Israel hasn't held us hostage--Shooter
That would depend on our definition of 'held us hostage'. The unfortunate government of Israel has a close proximity to the oil fields of the world. We pay them billions of dollars every year to...do what? I think we, the tax payers of the United States, are being held hostage.
Lynx, you are certainly entitled to your opinion, but there is no reason I can consider it more informed than the Israeli government. I'll stick with their assessment over yours.
Won't speak for lynx but I'll question you faith in the Israeli Government's assessment of the nuclear capability of Iran. After all...well, look closer to home.
You see, that's the problem with you, Shooter, you display by your comments that you have a learning curve that seems to land somewhere between zero and sub-zero.
And yet we would be remiss if we did not also thank Tiberius for the role he played in facilating the interview.-- GlennGreenwald
You're being a regular wise-guy today. You sound giddy. It must be infectious. I mean the wise-guy attitude. We've been in it deep here lately.
I'm looking ever so forward to the Helen Thomas interview!
Oh, and thank you Karen for suggesting it. you're a jewel.
Yeah, these are your people. I'll bet Ward is giddy about Iran trying to get the bomb. Then all of us little Eichmann's can pay the price for being Americans, who's with me?--Anonymous
So many of you trolls go with the 'one note johnny' routine. Get a new schtick.
God damn fool; can you not see the references on a thread about old hippies? Fuck man, "grasshopper" was not an insult and "little one" came from the same show.
I'm well aware of the show "Kung Fu" with David Carradine. I watched it in its original time as a teenager. Your repeated yammering about my age and what you like to think it is in order to belittle me is not only incorrect but has a consistant line of insult that doesn't change just because you throw in some reference. Note how you continued on the same line of insult with the post I am now replying to.
Your remarks to me are intended as insults. For you to pretend otherwise is nonsense. You are an untrustworthy person. That has been my conclusion about you for some time now. I've already told you that. You'd do better to not bother trying to bullshit me. It won't work. You'll be wasting your time.
Paul keeps asking about Israel. I think I'll stick up for the tiny democracy surrounded by a huge sea of illiterate Muslim savages that want them dead.--Anonymous
Rare would I make such a request...but do we really need to put up with people as ignorant and Little Green Footballs'ish as this person?
I'm putting in my request for a ban.
Thanks.
