@kitt

Kitt, that you're trying to make some political point about the broader culture from Johny Cash, well it's just pathetic and makes you seem rather stupid and incapable of distinguishing between trivia in your own life, and actual historic events.

-- healthyskeptic

I'll just let that stand to speak for itself. I can't make any remarks to improve upon it's rank idiocy.

good-fucking-job left-fringe bloggers and assorted NedHeads. I can't imagine why anyone might think you all need a reality check.

Did a single incumbent Republican who was in a race against a challenger Democrat win? Nope.

Did a single incumbent Democrat lose to a challenger Republican lose. Nope.

If the nets hadn't made Iraq an issue because of Lamont running against Lieberman, that wouldn't have happened.

Also the DNC, who didn't want to whisper about Iraq, ran candidates that the netroots thrashed and beat. That's the facts. The candidates the netroots ran in the end, they won. So, what are you going on about.

Modem Crashes on the Super Highway

Here's the opne I was actually seeking

Too early in the morning for me to decideif that's an Onion article or for real. I know, I know. It's real but it's just too unreal to be real. It can't be. Can it?

Does the ignorance, and those taking advantage of the ignorance ever stop? Or even slow down?

A question for you. When was the last time you saw some new guy post a comment and a cabal member ask him what he meant by the comments? Or, responded in any polite manner? Or, even just wrote, "I disagree" and left it at that?

Are you going to whine like that all day long again?

So Odd

"Hell little one,"

Again with the bazaar insults. Very strange mentality, Bucky.

It was not an insult; that is your M.O.

Damn grasshopper, you beat all.

-- bucky1

Why are you so determined to continue embarrassing yourself? And why do you continue to whine about insults and invective, when it is you who puts out ridiculous insults (that have no basis whatsoever if reality) on a regular basis? Bazaaro world, indeed.

Dutch: bizar

French: bizarre

German: bizarr

Italian: bizzarro

I'm almost always guessing on that one. Reading the above, is it any wonder? I think the Italian version was what I was going for.

...

...until reasonable people band together to shame and shun the psychopaths

Shunning must be constantly combined with pushing back, just as Helen Thomas was doing to the seemingly disinterested actor, Tony Snow.

Shame would seem to be the an unlikely emotion for people such as Norman Podhoretz to ever feel. He's made that clear with what he has said and has written.

Shooter

And surrender is still the only unilateral way to peace.

As you so often do, you must be arguing with yourself. You can't be argruing with Glenn (or any one else here) because Glenn didn't say the words you've used as the title of your comment.

ondelette

He wasn't looking at the most considered opinions of the CIA analysts when he was preparing it, and we will probably never know why.

-- ondelette

I, at the time, had read what he either didn't read or didn't report to have read, and that wasn't even my official job. Except for as a citizen. It was his job and his duty.

He went to the UN and misreported everything. How negligent can you be and still warrant forgiveness? I don't forgive Colin Powell for his negligence and for his enormous part in putting us in the position we are in today.

If he ever honestly fesses up to his complicity, I will then consider forgiveness. I doubt it though -- both his fessing up, and me forgiving him for his gross negligence.

@99

I've always been confused by the...

...left wing talking point: "We are in it for Israel."

While I am a middle-of-the-road progressive, I don't adhere to the leftist doctrine that Israel is evil.

That's not a "left wing talking point" or a "leftist doctrine".

Any conversations about Israel that I might tend to discuss or take part in would differentiate between Israel, and the Likud party in Israel. Same as I differentiate between America, the US Government or the bush administration. America and Bush Administration are not the same thing. Anymore so than Israel and the Likud Party are one and the same.

In other words, you are making broad brush assertions in more ways than one. In one case, the case of the 'left wing talking point", you are making a completely false assertion.

@DCLaw

(I have a sick day today and, happily, can comment before the tangents take over)

-- DCLaw

That's ironical. Or do I mean coincidental? I thought about you this morning after yesterday's elongated love-fest. I thought about how disappointed you get when you come home to find 30 pages of 'Yeah, well, I'm rubber but you're glue. What you say to me only sticks to you!'

Shooter 1%?

Excuse me, where in there is the guarantee that Saddam WOULD NOT have a bomb if the Israeli's, then we, had not attacked Iraq?

--Shooter

Do I correctly understand this to mean that you, Shooter, live (but, of course, would never put yourself in a position to die or lose a fingernail) by the infamous Cheney 1% Doctrine?
