Obama worlds best salesman of socialism

I don't think America can be part-capitalist and part- socialist, the two don't work together. Anyone with a 401K is

finding that out now.

Monday, March 2, 2009 07:46 PM

Steele / Limbaugh

None of this matters. What really matters is the Dow keeps plunging further and further every day, and along with it will

be Obama's approval ratings. This is not the kind of change

that Americans were looking for.

Romney wins CPAC straw poll

If the Dow continues to plunge it won't matter whether its Jindal, Romney or anyone else. Americans will not stand by

and watch their 401K's go down the drain much longer. Obama's

reckless, wasteful spending is a concern of many Americans, as

reflected by the Dow.

obama proof stocks

The stock market's lost 3000 pts. or more, since Obama was elected. This is a pattern, and Obama Should be paying attention to it. Many of us who do not have pensions, were told to put our money in 401K's. Those who are close to retirement have lost 12 years' worth so far. This is a very serious situation, its a result of the direction the Obama administration is taking: heavy, reckless spending. Obama is doing exactly what Bush did: he's taking advantage of

the current situation. Bush took advantage of 911 to attack Iraq. Obama is taking advantage of the credit crisis to push

through Pelosi's left-wing looney spending projects.

Dem's trying to distact from the stock market

Who cares about Limbaugh or Steele. We know this is just a Distraction from the Real issue, the stock market, which has dropped over 3,000 pts. since Obama took office. This is now a pattern, and Obama better be paying attention to it. Americans who put money in their 401K every week for the past 15 or 20 yrs. or more are paying attention to it.

Democrats: not so fast Obama

I'm encouraged that some Democrats are questioning and voting

against Obama's agenda. Stocks have dropped over 3,000 pts. since Obama was elected...this is a "trend" now. Americans with 401K's who don't have a pension and are soon to retire will be in deep trouble because they've lost 12 years worth of

investing. Obama is doing exactly what Bush did: he's taking advantage of a crisis to push through flaky, left-wing liberal spending. Bush took advantage of 911 to push his agenda which was to attack Iraq. Americans will not stand for losing their

401K's.

New numbers say nothing

These numbers mean absolutely nothing. Its just a distraction that Democrats are using so that Americans don't notice all the money Obama is spending/wasting. And, they don't want us to notice that Obama's trying to dismiss the fact that the stock market plunges everytime he makes a speech. And they don't want us to notice that Obama is ignoring the earmarks, even though he was against earmarks when he was campaigning. And they don't want us to notice that Pelosi is actually the one running the show either.

Wednesday, March 4, 2009 08:55 PM

McCain

McCain isn't the only one concerned about earmarks. I'm tired of hearing excuses that its not enough money to worry about,

or, its only 1% of a billion... its a systemic problem, it all adds up. Obama's not walking the walk. I'm glad McCain and

Feingold are not sweeping it under the rug.

Republicans strike back

Democrats simply aren't living up to the "change" the promised. The juvenile ploys they're using to try to distract Americans from the real problems are typical Obama. If you look back to the campaign, that's his M.O.

Lieberman rescuing Obama

I thought Lieberman was rescuing Obama from Buffet's and Welch's comments. They didn't exactly praise Obama's handling of the financial crisis.

Friday, March 13, 2009 10:02 PM

Mitch McConnell

I certainly understand McConnell's point. Statistics show that a good portion of these prisoners will attack again. Forget the symbolism of closing Guantanamo, and put our

country's safety first. Americans seem to have very short memories, indeed.

Monday, March 16, 2009 09:43 PM

Gibbs

Gibbs, like Goethner, is way overrated, wimpy and whiney.

The flaky left-wing democrats are putting this country in a vulnerable position with reckless spending which is not serving to stimulate the economy. Making juvenile remarks about Cheney serves no purpose either. What a waste.

Obama's populism problem

Obama's got more problems than AIG. The mismanagement of the bailouts is just a recent example why we need less government.

The government doesn't know how to do anything, they're totally inept and more government means more ineptness.

Now we hear that jobs created by the stimulus package are paid

at union rates...so the taxpayers are getting even less for their money. China and other countries are concerned about our financial stability not only because of the bailouts but also the reckless spending, which will result in very high inflation.

Monday, March 16, 2009 10:21 PM

who is obama

No one knows who Obama is, not even Obama. This seems to be a consistent trait with Democrats. But it does take a lot of maneuvering when the whole premise of your party is to keep people down so that you can turn around and rescue them and be the hero. Actually, it may be more fascist than socialist, (when the government has control of a for-profit private business).

Original article: Obama's populism problem

populism

"nationalizing"? are you kidding me?! Wake up. It was our own government that failed us to begin with! They weren't sharp enough to catch what was going on, or they fell asleep on the job, or both. But, how many examples do you need? The SEC failed to do anything about Madoff even though it was handed to them on a platter. The bailouts were dreadfully mismanaged--8th graders could have put that together.

Our government isn't meant to conduct "business", that's not their job, and they continually prove this over and over.

If government takes over healthcare, (which badly needs reformed), heaven help us, we're headed for another disaster.

Another example of government waste: the jobs created by stimulus package are paid at union rates--not even competitive rates, so our tax dollars aren't creating as many jobs as they could be if they competitively bid these projects as a normal business would. The government doesn't know the best way to do things, its evident all over the place.

Grassley

I love it!

Detroit

No, you're wrong, nothing can make GM look good. Between the inept management, outdated union contract, etc... there's nothing good there.
