Wow. so this is how Democrats problem-solve? Attack the people asking questions. Sounds real democratic to me! The flaw that I see in liberal-think, is that they're ignoring, or in complete denial about costs. For example, if they hear people say they like Medicare, they assume its a successful program. Wrong. Liberals, I know you don't like to talk about costs, however, before you claim a program is successful, you must also make sure its not costing more than it was supposed to cost to begin with. But don't freak out,
its really ugly to see liberals on the defensive, they act like spoiled children. There are some grown-up options for reforming health insurance.
Come on, I know this is a carrot you're throwing out to get people to respond... however, you know damn well there are extremes on both the left and the right. Please stop trying to label all fiscal conservatives based on the few extremist Who Do Not Represent Us. I've said this over and over: liberals seem to be the only ones following Rush Limbaugh and the other entertainers. Most conservatives are hard-working middle-class people with children, some own small businesses, some of us buy and negotiate our own healthcare, we're college-educated and we believe in free market system and less government bureacracy. You don't have to throw out the freemarket system, just tweak it when needed. I love visiting France, Italy, Germany, but I would not want their system for anything. If its so great, why are they moving towards private insurance? We just need to control costs better. There's enormous opportunity to eliminate waste along with creating more competition, but instead democrats want to throw the baby out with the bath water.
Obama and his crew did a very, very poor job on healthcare reform. They never had a plan and that's why no one can communicate it effectively; no ones even read it. That is why
Americans are frustrated; we're a little more sophisticated and deserve better. The Republicans actually are doing a better job problem solving, with ideas that may create more competition in the health insurance industry.
Obama's answer to everything seems to be "government takeover".
Open your eyes, government is an inefficient bureaucracy. Congress has turned health insurance reform into a circus; instead of simplifying it, its so complicated no one can even communicate it effectively. Try problem-solving instead of
bigger government.
I love it. Liberals are so stupid they assume anyone
who's against Obamacare must be a republican, so they're attacking fellow democrats. I guess we shouldn't expect them to think independently of the messiah.
You have quite a few fellow democrats who are rallying against
Obamacare, too.
Obama's meeting in Portsmouth looked staged and phony, like he was campaigning. Nothing spontaneous. The crowd was more diverse than any other town meeting and looked like they were strategically planted. Obama repeated the same as before,
except this time I got the impression he was holding congress
accountable for the outcome.
Obama repeated the same phrases...you can keep your insurance if you like it, blah, blah, blah... HOwever, the public plan will encourage employers to drop their plan and pay the penalty (which would be cheaper, instead); then, employees Will lose their insurance, and will have to shop for their own plan.
Its becoming crystal clear who the real retards are: the democratic party. Obama's the front man, the salesman, and then you have Pelosi and Reed putting the actual health insurance reform together.. but they don't want any dissent,
its un-American. Obama admitted yesterday that he's told them what he wants, but its ultimately up to congress. (so if its a disaster, its not his fault). I say reform Medicare first; its going bankrupt.
Americans are communicating their distrust of government in general; particularly Obama and his crew: Pelosi says dissent is un-American; Gibbs is telling Americans which TV stations they should watch; Obama's lying about AARP endorsing him (and they're denying any support of Obamacare); and, what's with planting the little girl in the audience in Portsmouth... her mother is part of a group in Massachusetts supporting Obama. That was one of the lamest attempts to emotionalize.
The politician from Georgia who claimed a swastika was put on his house: well, it turns out one of his supporters put it on there attempting to blame republicans for it. Democrats are
embarrasing themselves.
Democrats have turned very ugly, insulting, attacking,
arrogant, they're trying every lame trick, even using the race card. Its evident all the Democratic Party has is Obama the salesman; however, he doesn't have a product to sell.
Call it whatever you want, the fact is, if 80% of healthcare
costs occur in the last weeks of life, its a "given" that parameters will be set-up to address end-of-life decisions that will have to be made. Now is the time to address them,
instead of pretending they won't exist.
Obama's either desperate or plain clueless about his own plan,
after claiming AARP endorsed it, which they did not. Then he
continues to say that you can keep your plan if you like it,
which is also very untrue and misleading if your employer provides your plan. Now they're enlisting Bill Clinton to
help out with health reform! How many smooth-talkers do you need to sell this piece of crap? The fact is, if the democrats had a "real plan", with substance, it would sell itself.
