what plan?

Obama can't even articulate what his plan is. Fix Medicare and Medicaid first, they're badly underfunded because costs haven't been controlled. Most Americans do not trust Obama, and we have tons of proof that the government can't successfully manage anything.

oblivious liberals

You have to ask what's wrong with the Post Office? Are you kidding me?! And Medicare? Its underfunded because the government hasn't controlled costs. Every government program

is mismanaged. Government is political; its a bureaucracy, they don't know how to manage anything effectively. I can't believe how many people reading this article are clueless.

But, I suppose if all you read is the propoganda put out by

Obama's buddies, ACORN, that's all you know.

what's wrong with post office?

Post Office, in case you oblivious liberals haven't heard, is billions in debt. But yet, they build post offices within half mile of each other even though they're empty. And those

who think waiting 20 minutes to mail a letter "isn't bad",

should try UPS store - its not even 2 minutes. Maybe you are the ones who need to get a life, maybe you are the ones who need to "care" about how your tax dollars are being used. Or maybe you are oblivious to it because you're a limousine liberal and the cost doesn't matter to you, or you don't pay taxes because you don't make enough money or don't have a job... whatever, but from the postings I read in Salon,

it seems like you're badly uninformed, to say the least.

Hey, maybe if you starting paying attention to how your taxdollars are actually spent, you'd be a conservative?

jumping to conclusions

Joan, you're wrong, these are concerned taxpayers who totally disagree with further government involvement in healthcare. Medicare is a disaster from a financial standpoint. Government has failed to reduce and contain costs so now Medicare is underfunded. We don't want to give more taxdollars so that the government can fail Even More. I'm conservative but no one from the republican party has contacted me to attend the town halls, which have been to my area already. These are concerned taxpayers. Too bad the oblivious liberals fail to see that not everyone agrees with their reckless government expansion plans.

Liberals

I realize liberals must be very frustrated lately, however, your only response is to: insult, try to intimidate with name-calling, condemn anyone who doesn't agree with you. Maybe you need to expand your reading sources because you're obviously missing out on a lot of details. I can understand why your liberal buddies in the media would neglect to tell you about the financial disasters and mismanagement of your "government programs", but it would be in your best interest to reconsider your sheep mentality.

Excuse, excuses for government mismanagement

Ha, ha, there you go, making "excuses" for government mismanagement. This is where there is a huge difference between government and private industry. Most successful businesses adjust their payroll and their expenses according to markets, financials and other indicators. The government, on the other hand, doesn't pay any attention to "those details", and keeps going full speed ahead, until disaster hits. And then, since no one is in charge, no one is held accountable, and the vicious cycle continues with each new program. Look at California. look at medicare, look at the SEC, who was warned for 10 yrs. about Madoff; look at Katrina,

but you still want to put our healthcare in the governments' hands....

where are the supporters of healthcare reform at these meetings

From what I've seen, there are very few supporters of Obamacare

at these town hall meetings. The democrats are so arrogant

they're not listening to the people anymore! The Democrats are

insulting, condemning, name-calling not only the Blue Dogs in their own party, but at least half or more of America. Democrats are desperately trying to "rush" healthcare reform

through. And its not because they care ---this is strictly politics, nothing but politics. Never forget: a government that robs Peter to pay Paul, will always have the support of Paul. And that's what the democrats are counting on with their

new wedge issue.

Obamacare is nothing but politics

If you think Obamacare is about healthcare reform, you're mistaken. There are better ways to reform if you really want to. Obamacare is nothing but politics. Robbing Peter to pay Paul, and then Paul will always be there to support you.

Most Americans are wondering why Obama and congress can't

answer their questions about healthcare reform. Democrats have been talking about it for years, but they still can't articulate what Obamacare is, exactly; but yet, they're frantically rushing it through. And now, Democrats are insulting, condemning, accusing anyone who questions Obamacare

of belonging to a mob. No, we're just concerned Americans who realize Obama's numbers don't add up.

Most Americans are against more government involvement in healthcare

The polls say most Americans don't agree with Democrats plans for health reform. There's no evidence government will do a better job of reducing and controlling costs. There are other ways to reform health insurance, but we're not hearing about those, such as: why can't we cross state lines when buying health insurance? This would create more competition,

more options for businesses and individuals.

Thursday, August 6, 2009 09:44 PM

Polls say most Americans aren't buying Obamacare

Democrats have been unsuccessful communicating their intentions for health insurance reform. And polls say most Americans don't trust that government is capable of reducing and controlling healthcare costs --just look at the track record, for heaven's sake. Democrats are insulting and condemning, degrading anyone who's not Democrat. Apparently that's all they know. These are the same people who viciously attacked Clinton during the campaign, now they can't say enough good things about her. Arrogant, Hypocrits. Wake

up.
