Gibbs is weird

Let's face it, Gibbs obviously enjoys listening to himself speak; no one else can stay awake long enough.

doesn't compare to Bush

I was not a fan of Bush, however, there was never a shortage of hateful, disturbing, attacking, explicit e-mails from left-wing about Bush. Its no different.

Original article: Obama's really unpopular!

Obamanomics are unpopular

Obama's not impressing anyone with his non-existent economic, financial, or entrepreneural skills. He's a great preacher though. Americans need to listen to Elizabeth Edwards regarding universal healthcare: costs need to be drastically reduced if it is to be successful. We cannot sustain current costs. It must be addressed now, before universal healthcare

is implemented.

71% of Americans polled disagree with Sotomayor on Ct. firefighter case

Name calling doesn't get you anywhere, so its good to hear Gingrich came to his senses. However, there is nothing wrong with questioning Sotomayor and Obama regarding the firefighter case in Ct. It obviously disturbs the majority of Americans when a city chooses to offend one group of firefighters who passed a test; only because they're afraid of what another group, who didn't pass the test, will do in retaliation.

This is the kind of case that could have proven Sotomayor was

fair and treated people equally if she had chosen to break away from the pack of judges who went along with it. It raises the question why Obama couldn't find another hispanic

who didn't have this controversy, and whether Obama is too hung

up on her "story" and the politics of his choice. There are many, many other qualified hispanics he could have chosen.

Original article: Quote of the day

71% of Americans disagree with Sotomayor's decision

Why don't we talk about 71% of Americans polled disagreed with

Sotomayor's decision to uphold New Haven Ct. decision to not certify firefighter test. If the overwhelming majority of people disagree with her, what does this say about Obama's decision to still choose her? Is Obama focusing too much on

Sotomayor's "story", and "politics" of getting a hispanic on the Supreme Court, instead of substance? There are many hispanics who are qualified to be on Supreme Court, why didn't

he choose them?

Ford is looking better and better every day ...

If GM's union had agreed to these concessions and changes in work rules 10 years ago, GM would be a competitive, healthy company today. Now its union-owned and government-owned. Owners with no business management experience. Yeah, good luck with that. Makes Ford look better and better every day.

liberals are the only ones listening to Limbaugh

Ha ha. It appears to me that the only people listening to Limbaugh are Liberals; they're masochists, they sit and wait for someone to offend them so they can whine and act like victims.

there are plenty of competent female or male Latinos who could have been chosen over S

Hispanics have solid family values, amazing work ethic, business savvy, and conservative views. Is it possible that

Obama could have chosen a Hispanic who believed in fairness and equality, instead? Someone who would have delved deeper into the firefighter case in Ct. to ensure that equality and fairness prevailed?

Its about identity politics, pushing an agenda, maybe reverse racism

Just ask those firefighters in Ct. what they think about Sotomayor. They got high scores on a test, but because they weren't the right color --no one got promoted. They're changing the test, instead. And Sotomayor threw out their case. By nominating Sotomayor, Obama is sanctioning reverse racism. What happened to equality and fairness --- forget about empathy! This appears to be about activism, pushing an agenda, control, and maybe "getting even." Makes me wonder, maybe Obama's relationship with Ayers and his previous pastor deserved more scrutiny. If it walks like a duck...

she had no empathy for the Ct. firefighters

Not sure those firefighters in Ct. would agree. She didn't show any empathy for the white firefighters.

making history

So Obama's "making history". Obama's pick is nothing but identity politics. Maybe you should be more concerned what those firefighters in Ct. who scored high on the test but were denied promotion think about Sotomayor.

Tuesday, May 26, 2009 08:03 PM

empathy?

Ask those firefighters in Ct. with the high test scores how empathetic she was, when they were denied promotion because they were the wrong color.

Tuesday, May 26, 2009 07:43 PM

empathy for firefighters in Ct.

I wonder what those firefighters think about Sotomayer --- she certainly didn't have much "empathy" for them.

Tuesday, May 26, 2009 07:35 PM

identity politics

This is nothing but identity politics, its not about selecting

the most qualified, experienced, balanced person for the job. Sotomayor's decision in the Connecticut firefighter promotion test unfortunately appears to be reverse racism, too.

plenty of people are conservative though

Seems to me more and more people are quickly realizing they're more conservative than they thought. Probably has something to do with that trillion dollar deficit.

Preaching vs Leading

Obama spent 90 minutes preaching; didn't hear any solutions.

Looks like its taking longer and longer to win Americans over...

Thursday, May 21, 2009 09:17 PM

of course they don't want it investigated

Afraid what they'll find out, aren't they?! I think an allegation this serious certainly should be investigated.

lets treat those terrorists better

Flaky liberals are so fixated by their intense hatred for the former administration, that they're showing more concern for the criminals --the Terrorists, than the people who kept them safe after 9-11. Get a grip, people, you are the ones who need help. Seriously. You should be concerned that Obama's promising things that he has no idea how to carry out; you should be concerned this administration is spending hundreds of thousands of your taxdollars to fly airplanes over NY to get promotional pictures; you should be concerned that the Speaker of the House is lying to cover her ass; you should be concerned that thousands of dead people, some who don't even have SSN#'s, are getting stimulus checks in the mail, etc., etc. This administration is already out of control and it hasn't even been six months yet.

academia

Many of Obama's claims regarding defense and security made during the campaign are proving false. The same will happen with the economy. The large majority of Obama's administration, including Obama, have no business or private sector background. He's relying on advise from idealists and theorists and flaky left-wingers. (Can't wait to see how the union and our government manage to run Chrysler!)

dumbacrats

To the contrary, it appears to many of us that Obama and the Dumbacrats are eating a lot of their own words lately and look pretty unorganized and weak on security and defense.
