Original article: Your guide to teabagging

tea parties

Obama has, and will continue to increase your taxes by "disguising" them in new creative ways, such as energy.

Open up your eyes Now --before its too late, and we're in another situation where everyone is asking "how did this happen." We're facing atmospheric deficits. Stop blindly following the messiah and start asking questions instead. The fact that Bush increased the deficit doesn't justify the next president doing it. Two wrongs don't make a right.

tea party in Ohio well-attended

There were over 3,000 people who attended the tea party in our

Ohio town, even though it was raining and cold. They carried some very clever, hand-made signs with pretty much the same sentiment: they're seriously fed-up paying taxes so that the government can reward people who misbehave.

last 8 years

Yes, many of us did complain the previous 8 years, but why would anyone approve of "more of the same"? Obama is just a repeat, only now its his agenda instead of Bush's.

Tea Parties in Ohio well- attended

We attended a tea party in our Ohio town that was packed, well over 3,500, on a rainy, cold night. If this is indicative of the rest of the tea parties around the country, I'd say Americans have said "enough" of government's pork, increasing taxes, and rewarding those who are costing all of us more money.

supertrains

This is exciting, to say the least. Americans need an alternative to driving; it would have huge impact on reducing oil consumption; high-speed rail encourages tourism; and when you consider the engineers, mechanics, rail car manufacturing, construction jobs it will create... this is a no-brainer.

This is a wise investment. It needs to be cost effective and

preferably managed and maintained by private industry.

Ohio tea party

The tea party I attended in Ohio had a crowd of about 5,000 or more, according to the fire marshal. The signs carried by the crowd were focused on: less spending, less taxes, the deficit; it was not specifically anti-Obama.

legalize and tax marijuana

Legalize and tax it. Period. This would solve a number of problems, police and law could focus on more important things.

left wing hates half of America

It appears the real "haters" are the left-wing liberals who raise suspicion and condemn innocent veterans; they condemn Americans who are deeply concerned about America's financial stability (China and Europe are concerned as well). Left-wing

is condemning anyone who doesn't agree with them. (I thought everyone learned from the previous administration that blindly following and not questioning is dangerous). Perhaps the left-wingers need to take economics courses, political science, and business courses to better understand the consequences we will face.

how soon we forget

Its interesting how quickly Americans forget how they felt when we were attacked on 9/11, which was the most devastating event in our country's history. No other president has had to deal with anything even close to it, and I don't think anyone in their right mind could ever question Bush's patriotism. We

may not agree with everything he did, however, he kept America

safe and we haven't been attacked since. It could have been even worse.

we should be more like France?

France is a nice place to visit; however, I suggest that those of you who think we should be more like France (socialist), need to live there for a year or more. Ha ha! That is the most Un-American thing I've heard.... So who's unpatriotic now?! I honestly think left-wingers need more education. You're all so willing to give up your freedom, your individuality -- that the rest of the world envies.

Realigning election

2008 election was about Americans' revenge against Bush and Republicans. If Americans pay close attention, though, they'll notice they're losing their freedom and their individuality, little by little. Obama is very likeable but he's also a "control" freak (which is an understatement.. in other countries its called something much worse). Many Americans are suddenly realizing they really don't want what they thought they wanted.

healthcare reform

There's no doubt we all want healthcare "reform", however, the more the government is involved in healthcare the more screwed-up it will be. Let's face it, what has the government ever managed that was a success. We never had a shot at a successful privately-run healthcare system because of Medicare and Medicaid --government-run, which set the prices for the rest of the industry. A total overhaul of the entire system, starting with Medicare and Medicaid is needed.

Original article: Barack Obama, penny pincher

budget cuts

This is an insult. Even if its $100 million for each dept., they certainly set a very low goal; this is the government for you. And they actually think they can reform healthcare.

Cheney

If you're going to release memos, Americans deserve to see the whole picture, not just select memos. We need to see both sides. If the interrogation resulted in saving lives, we need to know that, too.

Dems targeting Cheney, Rove Gingrich

It seems redundant that the Democrats feel they must continue to attack Republicans. There's a tipping point where this will backfire. Even the investigation into who's responsible for so-called torture is about politics. Americans forget that we were attacked by terrorists with planes into our buildings killing thousands of innocent Americans! If Obama was president in 2001, I Promise you he'd be using same tactics to get information from terrorists and we'd be encouraging him! We need to stop the politics, stop wasting our tax dollars, and move on. America is becoming very internally-focused at the expense of the bigger picture.

that's it... taxpayers are being tortured...

This is why the banks and other businesses that fail, need to go through bankruptcy. Then they'd have to go through the real exercise of getting out of bankruptcy, getting rid of excess, and pay the consequences of their mistakes. I don't know what part of their budget "lobbying" falls under, but they're not living in the real world, and we're "enablers". This is getting real hard to swallow. Obama needs to focus on fixing these banks NOW, STOP lending them more money, NOW ...

don't spend any money investigating other bullsht.. like so-called torture, fix the banks now... they're TORTURING taxpayers.
