First I have acknowledged the sexism so don't accuse me of otherwise trying to ignore it. My issue if it was not clear enough was who it is overblown by radical feminist such as yourself and the refusal to acknowledge race, or the candidates roles in pushing each. Another huge issue I have related to the sexism meme being overblown is the accusations that those that don't vote for Clinton being sexist which have done in just this thread by dismissing valid criticisms as cliché suggesting strongly that these criticisms are just a smoke screen.
The Steinem piece is a joke boarding on a parody. She either does not know history or purposely misleads readers about the history of voting rights in this country implying that black men had equal access to the voting booth when in many parts of the country they where lynched for trying. No such lynching happened to white women in the suffrage movement. She makes claims that being a women is harder than being a black man despite all the evidence to the contrary. A Black Man is many times more likely to be under some form of government supervision in the form of the prison system, more likely to have drug or alcohol problems, less likely to have attended college, and will have a substantially shorter life span. She ignores evidence that directly contradicts her notion that it is better to be a black man in politics than a white women. There are about 5 times more women (all white) in the Senate right now than Blacks in the history of this country. Again more white women governors right now than Blacks in the history of this country. Clinton had more institutional support, more money, higher name recognition basically every advantage over every single male in the contest. Just about every sexist comment has came after the Iowa cacus which she lost. So when did this institutional sexism come in? Hell, it was the first batch of sexism that kept her in the race with the NH backlash (the only state that the polls got wrong and the backlash started after the final polls ended).
You are that keeps bringing back her religious belief. I only pointed them out as an example where the press went easy on her while going hard on Obama. Sort of like the abortion issue that non of Clinton's supporters every want to talk about.
I have read many of your posts and for every 1 post you might give the benifit of the doubt there is about 10 that you accuse Obama supporters of sexism. Who cares if they voted for Obama because they will never vote for a "that women" all you can do is show why it is a mistake to think that way. If you feel that Obama was sexist don't vote for him though I think it would be a mistake as the next president will probably have to replace 2 liberal SC judges and if McCain is the president 2 anti choice candidates will be nomintated but on the upside they will probably be pro prosecution which seems to be a radical feminist position.
