knecht

There seems to be a lot of confusion here about these things.

1. Making a choice does not mean one is causally and morally responsible for all the consequences of that choice.

2. Responsibility should be assigned to whoever is performing the behavior. If you are choosing to put yourself in dangerous situations you are responsible for that. If you are beating your partner for any reason, you are responsible for that.

3. People who abuse others are sick.

4. People who let others abuse them are sick.

5. Sick people should receive help and treatment.

Finally we agree on something as this is exactly right. The problem some others and myself have is that too many people especially radical feminist disagree with 4. With that they do not understand that besides help and treatment for injuries they need treatment on the issues the victim had that lead to them repeating bad decisions and placing themselves in risky situations.

This is what needs to be taught to every kid in America. The only person that you can change is yourself and only you can have control over your actions.
