Thank you, that is exactly what I was saying and I am sure the others where saying.

People have a right to do a lot of things but that does not mean that there will not be consequences right or wrong. I just wish that people would release this and weigh the risks before hand but too often the risks are ignored completely in our society based on the absurd belief we live in a perfect world and others will not take advantage of the situation. And, yes sometimes it is better to not do something because the consequence is physical harm even though you have the right to do it.

Flora&Fauna

The majority of the entries are in support of finding Rihanna responsible in some form no matter how minor it may be.

I find this highly disturbing and I think it validates the very subtle ways in which women are regarded as problematic.

It is not about her gender at all. If this was a fight between two dudes the same advice would apply. To use an example from the sports world. About 10 years ago Charles Barkley was at a bar and some cat ran his mouth to Barkley and Barkley throw his ass through a window. Barkley was the one that did something illegal but the guy would not be on the ground with cuts if he avoided mouthing off.

What's next.....sharia law and burkas??"

Nice snark and overreaction there. Nobody said that what we are saying is use just a little bit of situational common sense. Don't leave you keys in the ignition in a high crime area when you are not in the car. Don't continue an argument and throw keys with someone that is enraged wait to you and the other person to calm down. And it is not well adjusted behavior to throw keys in an argument either.

The shrink's observation was accurate. Men beat women because women are less strong and men can get away with it- it takes a specific type of "man" to even entertain attacking a woman.

With out you saying it I can tell you are one that believes DV means a man hitting a women. Pretty much all the academic research shows that DV is started by the women about half the time and in about 70 percent of the time both parties take an active role. So I guess that means women beat their partners because they know they will get away with it?

Rihanna doesn't need anger management classes. She needs education on the reality of men who beat women, their patterns of abuse, their concepts of male priviledge and their asocial personality disorder. They are not misunderstood boys crying for love and understanding. They are con men waiting for another victim to blame.

What a bunch of victimhood bullshit, its all the fault of men, pass me the tissues.

What Rihanna needs is simple, she needs to be told that she has power. She has the power to stay in relationships and she has the power to walk out the fucking door. She needs to be told that after the first sign of abuse it is her responsibility to get out.

Here is a dirty little secret most victims place themselves in the situation and they could have avoided it. You want to lesson your chances of getting shot don't join a gang. Don't want to get taken by a scam read the fine print and if you don't understand it take it to a lawyer. Don't want to get in a fight don't confront angry people.

It's the economy stupid

If you believe domestic work is worth X dollars when you can afford to have professionals do it but zero dollars when you can't,

Is economics another topic we need to add to the list of subjects you know nothing about? I think it might just be.

Work is only worth something when it produces value. For example, the worlds best rugby player could be born in Kansas City but he will not be able to make much more than 15,000 dollars a year in America but if he goes to England or France he could make a few million. The best quarterback in the world could be from Paris but unless he comes to the USA he will make like 12 bucks. That is because we don't have a market for rugby and France does not have a market for football.

Or to put it simply who besides the person in the household gives a shit who does your laundry or cooking and why should anyone else pay for you.

what does that tell us about how much we value "women's work"? And if women are usually the ones who end up taking on that zero-dollar labor, what does it tell us about how much we value women's time?

Here is another great radical feminist myth. Here is some "men's work" that ends up being insourced in economic hard times. Lawn cutting, lawn maintenance, basic plumbing, basic household maintenance, car maintenance to name but a few. But we already know that rad feminist like yourself not only don't value this but act is if it does not exist.
