And yes, the risk is high even after the first time. One of the quickest ways for a woman to put herself at risk for murder is to try to leave a battering man. According to the FBI's supplementary homicide report for 2000, 62% of female homicide victims died at the hands of an intimate partner or husband, and about one third of those women were shot during an argument. That's how dangerous this kind of thing can be.
What the hell? The data does not support the point you are trying to make. First there is no data on first time victims so I dispute what you say there.
Second, the FBI data is 62 percent of all deaths that includes those that are still living with the partner. A number of that will be murders by non abusers that killed there partner over money or divorce. And most of those murders where of women that where still living with the partner.
In fact, as far as I'm concerned, unless you can personally guarantee the victim's safety when she leaves, you need to keep your mouth good and shut about why she stays.
So let me get this straight. You want women to stay with the abuser because they will get killed because that is "safe". I want them to leave before it even gets to the first physical blow but worst case get the hell out where they will no longer be hit by that person and they will be at lower risk of getting killed. And yet I am the asshole?
Keep believing in your fantasy world of perfect safety and living for your victim hood. Being a victim does not make you are a stronger person or a wiser person or any other Oprah pop psychology bullshit it makes you a victim.
So you get called out on your bullshit and dishonesty and now you want to act all high and mighty. The only thing sad about this is that you will not answer for telling women to stay in dangerous situation and call for fear you are as bad as the abusers you might not hit anyone but you sure scare women into staying with abusers with your bullshit.
Blogs was legally voted in by myself and a majority of voters in the state of Illinois. Part of his lawful duty is to appoint Senators if one of the 2 senators leaves the position in between elections. The former Junior Senator left the position. Ergo Blogs picks the new Senator.
The alternative is the 5th largest state with the third largest metro is going to have half the voice in the Senate. I know those on the coast don't care or know but Illinois is pretty important to the economy, along with the major transportation hub of the country. It is important that the state be represented when a trillion dollars is going to be spent.
All of this controversy over a Governor that at worst got practicing politics. But we live in a system where a potential candidate can indite his opponent.
