While as co-president she allowed the access to abortion to shrink more than Raygun or Bush 1 and she allowed the gag rule to go into effect.
This video while entertaining has nothing at all to do with Salon as this is obviously your demo tape for the color spot on the new Curling Show. Here is hoping you land that job but still keep up with your always great column.
Do you pay attention at all? Iraq has been talked about and reported on constantly same with Health care and hell even NAFTA and that is in the last week in spite of several other flaps. These candidates both also have websites where they have sections on issue. Also, with the power of the interwebs one can also look up how the candidates voted, who they took money from and well about what 1,000 newspapers, news magazines and political blogs that do discuss the candidates positions. But, of course you are above the fray and love to show just how smart and superior you are to us mere mortals that comment on the campaign.
Question for Sen. Hillary Clinton supporters how does she beat Sen. McCain in the general? She can't get away with saying she has more experience as McCain has what 20 years on her and is a war hero. She can't use the Democrats best weapon the war on Iraq because well her voting history is the same as McCain's and than she basically joined him on the hip in this department the other night. She can't say she will be ready on day 1 because she said McCain was too.
What is going to be her wedge issue? Abortion? I doubt that because she already has the support of those that vote on only that issue. Health Care? Maybe i guess this is her best shot but again there is her secretive failed plan from her first term as co prez.
Lastly, she has yet to be vetted too. This primary is the fist time she has been ch alleged as a candidate and Sen Obama has not exactly thrown the kitchen sink at her like the Republicans are bound to do. She has not released her tax returns, we don't know the extant of ex-copres Bill Clinton's overseas business deals or possible affairs to name but a couple possible issues.
I just don't see how she can beat McCain but i would love to see how. Can she hold Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan? Can she hold onto the African American vote and get them to turn out?
Why is Sen Clinton running as a Democrat? She believes that the Republican nominee is more prepared to be president than the front runner of her alleged party. She is a former Nixon and Goldwater supporter. As co-president she allowed access to abortion to shrink more than any Republican president. She does not care for the first amendment. Would she not fit more comfortable with the Republicans?
Is there any evidence besides some cherry picked women on the street interviews? I mean with such a wide spread group of sexist I am sure you can find dozens if not hundreds or thousands of sexist attacks from left leaning blogs, right? If this was such an issue for young female voters I am sure there is ample evidence they are showing there disdain at the polls, right? Well i know where the evidence is, it is in the election results that show Obama only winning men and black women (because they won't/can't understand how sexism is like so much worse than racism, right).
Since i am such a gentleman, when i go to my next young men of the patriarchy meeting, I will be sure to tape record all of the sexist comments that we make about Clinton.
How is this even close to a major problem? 102.5 kids a year go to the hospital for self inflicted injuries this is insignificant for a population that runs a few million. You might as well talk about shark attacks.
The elite players at the power school are not student-athletes hell they are not even athlete-students as the time requirements needed to compete at that level are just about the same as to compete as a professional. This group of players have known for at least the last 2 years that they are NBA bound or lotto picks and the only reason they are in school is because they are forced there because of arbitrary rules. Going to a minor league or overseas is not a real option either because after the NBA the best talent is in the NCAA.
The question I always have to those that want to force these kids to play for free is how would have Lebron James benefited from the experience? With out going to college he has put together a long term plan to grow his wealth that includes investing in businesses and the community, his last contract was structured in a way that allowed him the most flexibility (and one that players that went to college for 4 years have copied), and he learned his profession from professional coaches whose goals where to make him the best NBA player instead of the best college player. I can't think of much of the college experience he missed out on that he would not have had in the NBA. The best part of all if he wants to go back to take some classes in the future he can.
