We are all bombarded with the message that regardless of how a certain weight may or may not affect health, the job of women is to constantly diet and exercise until they disappear.

And women choose to consume the tabloids with the latest celebrity diet and buy Cosmo. The editors see these are popular features that sell their magazines and repeat. No mention at all that their is a possibility that this message is out their because the consumer wanted to hear that message. And lets not forget that it is Selma Heyak a decade ago, Beyonce, Scarlett Johanson types that is the ideal (meaning the absolute top 100 women on earth and no man in their day to day life expects normal women to ever reach this level) women for the large majority of men and most men are turned off by the heroin anorexia type super skinny and it is women themselves that choose to see these women as attractive.

hose who make billions from preying on women's insecurities do not give a rat's ass about anyone's "health." They are in it to make money and to keep women distracted from having any real goals. Instead of focusing on what is really important, we are supposed to be obsessed with thinness at any cost.

Nice conspiracy theory you have going, was it the grays, Illuminati or the shape shifty reptiles behind it all? You know maybe just maybe a few of the people that make money actually do give a shit about the health of women. But, I will take your word and say they don't, the agenda of those making money is just that to make money. They don't care about anything else and sure as shit are not trying to imprison women in a cycle of diets to keep them from their dreams.

And who are you to decide what is important to these women? Not to get into evil evolutionary psychology or sociology, just leaving it to BS approved studies, there seems to be an awful lot of evidence that women like to have their mates earn more then them and their is a lot of evidence that men do not find overweight chicks to be the ideal when it comes to looks. So for some women being normal and or skinny might fit their goal of landing a successful mate.

Maybe it is different for females but for men it is and has been for at least the last 15 years to eat before a work out. For being all so superior you seem to have missed what I did fuck up by suggesting to eat before working out which is I should have recommended some complex carbs instead of protien which should still be eaten soon after a work out. This info comes from 2 different trainers I have personally talked with about diet, pretty much every trainer of pro athletes that have been interviewed and well the Mayo Clinic also. I suggest a half hour based on eating small meals several times a day. If you eat a larger meal you can eat earlier.

And wow you caught a mistype everything I said is valueless now. How childish are you?

Or, I can continue it using The Jim's post. He believes, for real, that most women don't read the first page of the newspaper, instead going to the Style section the way the kids go to the comics. I take exception to that, although I don't think The Jim is a woman hater. But whether he's aware of it or not, to believe women aren't interested in important matters of state and of the headlines of the day, places them in a category on par with small children. He implies something that is truly ridiculous about women, that is, that they aren't interested in world events but only in shoes and parties and such. I think that attitude needs to be firmly relegated to the era where it belongs, the 1950s and left out of this one.

That is not what I said, that is your own interpretation. What I actually did say is that of those that read the front page and the world section most are males as is overall readership of the papers. I have actually seen the internal demographic data of 3 of the big 4 newspaper chains and dozens of independent papers to back up this up also. Men make up about 65 percent of daily readership. Men make up about 70 percent of the front page and world readerships along with about 95 percent of sports readership and only about 20 percent of the lifestyle section. The number levels off to about 60 percent men for the Sunday editions. The average age of male and female readers are about 14 years apart with women being older. Also note that most men don't buy papers either.

So sorry that when I see numbers like this and similar numbers for the readership of the different political weeklies I don't buy that women as a whole care all that much about the issues. Just like I don't think most men give all of that much of a damn. But, of the people that give a damn, the data strongly suggests that it is men that are the primary consumers of Hard and world news. That does not mean no women cares and it does not mean that all men care. Sorry if it does not fit your preconceived political notions.
