You hinted at a point that I forgot to mention. This american form of feminism claims to be part of the progressive/liberal movement but it is anything but, it has more in common with the religious right and right wing populism. I don't know if the leaders are self-deluded to think they are on the left or not. The leader figures and publications of feminism push for restrictions on free speech that offends women, the push for laws and rules that curtail an suspects right to face their accuser. They either ignore or don't understand that the basis of liberal thinking was for each person to have more responsibility in their own action. They look for scapegoats for there problems and have a remembered of a time that never existed.

To name but a few of the feminist I am talking about. I mention by name Steinem, the writers of broadsheet and many of its letter writers. To name some that i did not mention by name, the group of 88 at Duke, Erica Jong, Priya Venkatesan, Rhodes and too many other academic feminist of the legal dominance feminist variety to be named. Then there are the academic think tanks such as Women's Studies Research Center and American Association of University Women. Is this enough for you or should i continue by adding sites like Pandagon and Feministing?

Sorry I don't buy hook line a sinker the feminist theory and sorry that i have actually read more feminist thinkers than you have. No google needed to get the names hell I forgot to mention N.O.W. and specifically the New York chapters president. Steinem- Here now famous editorial in the new york times. The piece was nothing more than a cry that women are more victimized than blacks and for this reason Hillary Clinton should get your vote. She made no reference to any quilifaction that Clinton had to be president be they experience or policy just that she had to x chromosomes.

Here is a whole section on the Duke case- The group of 88, Broadsheet, Gloria Alread, Pandagon and Feministing to name just a very small sampling. The feminist press even after the attorney general of North Carolina made the unprecedented step to say not only do they not have a case but that the boys where innocent had pieces about how these kids got away with rape. The Group of 88 which is mostly a mixture of the black and womens studies departments called for the exposition of these innocent kids before a single piece of evidence was collected but even after the evidence came out they where still calling the kids rapist.

While where on the subject of rape why is that everyone from NOW to the feminist press continue with the 2 percent false report number despite other studies showing the number a fair bit higher such as the report done by the Air Force. The 2 percent number originates from Susan Brownmiller's book Against Our Will where she cites a New York city Police women in charge of sex crimes at the time that the number of false accusations are about the same as other felonies. This number comes from one division of one department with data that is now over 30 years old as the book was published in the early 70's. There has been no study that has came after that has looked at the issue that has come anywhere near as low. Every reference be they academical or popular to the 2 percent can be traced back to Brownmiller.

And since I spent enough time with this I will present the dishonesty of the American Association of University Women as my last exhibit. This is the group that gave us two bullshit studies in the last 2 years alone. Lets start out with there report on the boys crisis. To get the results they wanted they had to discount people of color nice way to say blacks and Hispanics don't count along with working class and below white males to get the numbers they wanted. So does feminist, who if the comment section on BS an induction, claim they are against racism, classicism et al why do they discount lower class whites and men of color? They ignore that women outnumber men in college by close to 20 percent which is growing by saying the absolute number of men is higher well no shit the country is many times larger than it was 10 years ago. They ignore that while boys score slightly higher in math girls score many times that amount higher in language skills. They ignore that even when test scores are even boys have a lower GPA, that boys make up a higher percentage of the students on prescribed drugs such as Ritalin and make up most of the disciplinary cases.

Lets move on to there last big report on the wage gap. They ignore majors so they are comparing a women that has a degree in a field with a surplus of grads like english and the soft sciences and are comparing them to men who dominate the hard science and engineering majors where there is a shortage to get there gap after 1 year. To get there gap after 10 years they still ignore the above but then continue with more dishonesty such as ignoring the loss in seniority for partenerity leave.
