Senator Obama,
Today you voted to destroy the Constitution. You betrayed millions of supporters like myself when you voted away the 4th Amendment today. No amount of spin on your part is going to change the fact that you and your fellow Congressmen stabbed every American in the back today. You and the rest of your compatriots in the Senate and House have lost all claims to legitimacy. You have betrayed your oath of office, the Constitution and the People.
I cannot begin to express how violated, molested and utterly betrayed I feel by what you have done. I feel duped, suckered, hoodwinked and bamboozled. I feel like I have been robbed, raped and left bleeding in a dark alley.
Goodbye, Senator. This is a deal breaker. I will not be voting in November. You have destroyed what little hope I had left for my country. I now know without doubt that absolutely nobody in my government can be trusted. You and all your fellow traitors inside the beltway can go to hell. There is no excuse for what you have done and no possible explanation or apology will right this wrong.
In closing, Senator, I leave you with a reminder and fair warning from our founders.

I feel no shame for having taken a chance that you might be different, Senator. However, knowing now that you have taken ranks with the most vile among us, to remain in your camp would bring enduring shame and dishonor upon my soul.

I noticed you focused your entire article on the 'sellout' aspect of Barack Obama's FISA vote and ignored the fact that his vote was a betrayal and stab in the back to every American.
Barack Obama not only broke his word, he betrayed his oath of office, the Constitution and the People. The FISA bill is unconstitutional, both for its clear violation of the 4th amendment and for its illegal ex post facto provision. As a professor of Constitutional law, Senator Obama was well aware of this when he cast his vote.
One of the reasons I supported Senator Obama was because I felt that, as a professor of Constitutional law, he would repair the damage done to our Constitution during the Bush presidency. His vote on the FISA bill has shown me that not only will he not repair the damage done, but that he is ready, willing and able to inflict further damage.
Senator Obama has lost my support, lost my vote and killed what little faith I had left that my country could be saved. I will be staying home on election day. Senator Obama's actions have shown me that my vote is useless. Left, Right or Center, the traitors inside the beltway have proven once and for all that they are going to screw the People coming and going.
The only recourse left to reclaim our country is revolution, but life hasn't become painful enough yet for most Americans to accept this truth. Our founders were well aware that people are willing to suffer evil, so long as it is sufferable, than to stand against it. It seems our current 'leaders' are well aware of this fact too.
Who are you kidding and how dumb do you think we are?
Looking forward to 2009, when both Congress and the White House may well be controlled by Democrats, the idea is to have Congress appoint an investigative body to discover the full extent of what the Bush White House did in the war on terror to undermine the Constitution and U.S. and international laws. The goal would be to implement government reforms aimed at preventing future abuses -- and perhaps to bring accountability for wrongdoing by Bush officials.
In other words, the idea is to allow the real criminal, President Bush, to escape unscathed and unimpeached, then put on some pathetic dog and pony show with the possibility of throwing a few scapegoats to the wolves in order to provide the masses with bread and circus. Nancy Pelosi has already made it clear that Bush will go unpunished for his high crimes and misdemeanors. Impeachment is off the table, remember? Why should we put any trust in any reform enacted by a Congress that has laid supine for eight years while Bush has trashed and dismantled the Constitution?
