If this doesn't grease the exit skids,

after Thursday I don't know what will:

Murlene Wilkes, owner of Harbor Adjusting Services, and holder of a $1.2 million/yr. contract with the State of Alaska to handle workers compensation claims, apparently told a big fat fib. When Branchflower asked her if the governor’s office had ever asked her to deny a workers compensation claim for Palin’s ex-brother-in-law Trooper Mike Wooten (the trooper in “Troopergate”), she said no. Never. Really. ...

... unnamed worker made a little phone call to the tip line that Branchflower set up at the beginning of the investigation. According to the tipster, yes indeed, the governor’s office DID put pressure to deny the claim.

Murlene Wilkes, faced with this situation, decided to change her testimony according to a report in The Public Record. Now, with the little extra incentive of avoiding perjury charges, she has admitted that she was asked to deny the claim - at the direct request of Sarah and Todd Palin.

Actually the linked source reporting, says somewhat less than that, but maybe Mudflats knows something we don't, by sitting up there in Alaska:

You field dress it like the Dead Moose it is, and Tan it's hide.

Seriously as soon as Troopergate raises it's profile yet again:

Murlene Wilkes, owner of Harbor Adjusting Services, and holder of a $1.2 million/yr. contract with the State of Alaska to handle workers compensation claims, apparently told a big fat fib. When Branchflower asked her if the governor’s office had ever asked her to deny a workers compensation claim for Palin’s ex-brother-in-law Trooper Mike Wooten (the trooper in “Troopergate”), she said no. Hard evidence contradicting sworn testimony has a certain effect on people. Murlene Wilkes, faced with this situation, decided to change her testimony according to a report in The Public Record. Now, with the little extra incentive of avoiding perjury charges, she has admitted that she was asked to deny the claim - at the direct request of Sarah and Todd Palin.

She will be heading to the exit door.

Then what are you going to discuss ?

How long till McCain trims his toenails ?

Original article: The Word from Wasilla

Unfortunatly This Is NOT News,

I don't know who would think it is because there is lots more lurking behind that Alaskan surface to find. If you think it is. I don't.

What I do recommend though, is that you head out to the mudflats before the tide comes in again and covers them over. I'm sure they'll point out to you what could be passed along as real Alaskan news,

http://mudflats.wordpress.com/

Instead of just tiptoeing gingerly through the Wasilla tulips.

Why Isn't The McCain Economic Plan Germane To The Disussion ?

Which is different rules for the rulers,

Actually there are two new web sites, which you are a little slow on reporting about. They were announced yesterday. Here's the other one:

http://www.johnmccainrecord.com/

It's high time people understood who this McCain fellow is and has been.

Too bad they don't also link to the Rolling Stone article on McCain. Something Salon should be writing about rather than our Palinista cruside of the day:

Make-Believe Maverick

A closer look at the life and career of John McCain reveals a disturbing record of recklessness and dishonesty

And from the guy who's closet is barely open

except for these few personal and economically challenged items:

Or in a shorter form, with this campaign video:

I do wonder how we will manage with McCain at the helm. His bombing run into Hanoi didn't work out so well.

At least Opus knows when it will happen.

Does that make it any easier ?

Old news, in a Fall format.

That's right, it's just McCain's bridge. He was agin' it before he was for lashing out at it.

As you well note, McCain has been harping on this study for quite some time. It is on his whine short-list. Which makes it strangely disturbing, considering the eventual orientation of the study's usefulness to development interests. But that's just John McCain being his mavericky self.

There was also a good article about this in the Washington Post earlier this year:

McCain Sees Pork Where Scientists See Success

Candidate Criticizes Ambitious Bear Study

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/03/09/AR2008030902152.html

Where it's more personally expressed why Kendall doesn't say much about politics.

And a short note on the whiner and the study popped into Science (subscription required) around the same time too:

Science 28 March 2008:

Vol. 319. no. 5871, p. 1743

Long Live The Queen

A written transcript for the Alaskan media call is available here:

Through the Looking Glass With Sarah Palin.

http://mudflats.wordpress.com/2008/10/12/through-the-looking-glass-with-sarah-palin/

I always tend to read either the McClatchy ADN site first or Mudflats when I'm looking for a way through any muck coming out of our first babe contender.

Somehow their being closer to the story just seems to work better for me.

Do you have a link available

for the producer's web site ? I can't seem to easily google it.
