You want another spanking from me? Stop whinning just because you don't like the fact that what I previously said is true.

In a span of about six months, Hillary went from leading among African Americans by about 60-40 over Obama to trailing 90-10. You claim this huge swing is entirely due to the fact that Obama is now seen as a viable candidate. I propose that it's partly due to his electability but also due to the Clintons' campaign tactics.

From July of 2007 until May 2008, Hillary's favorability rating among African Americans has dropped 36%. I suspect Bill's "race card" crack, Hillary's MLK/LBJ comments, Ferraro's blowup, etc. has something to do with that. Maybe black people don't vote for Hillary because there's a viable black candidate and they just don't like the Clintons anymore?

I realize that's a little nuanced but you might want to give it some thought.

Fortunately, most blacks aren't interested in your condescending and patronizing, but mostly pitiful, defense of the very defensible deccision most of them are making in the voting booth.

I'm not defending anyone's decision. I'm just disagreeing with your analysis. You believe blacks are overwhelmingly supporting Obama on the basis of viability and race. I believe that viability and race is part of it, but the Clintons tactics - both the tone of the campaign and the fact that Hillary doesn't even address primarily black audiences anymore - has something to do with it.

You'd be better off with the rest of the loons here who are implying that the majority of the people in WV and KY are racist simply because Obama's going to get his butt kicked in those primaries.

The only thing I've said about the WV and KY primaries is that they just don't matter. Obama could lose 100% of the vote in both states and he'd still be the nominee, so kvetching about whether Hillary could win there is pointless. This race is over.

At least you had the good sense to abandon one moronic argument before taking on another:

Way to play the "lowering expectations" game. I guess all those people voting in WV today should just go home because MikeLP said their primary just doesn't matter.

In reality, of course it matters. You are just arrogantly trying to pretend that it doesn't because it's not likely to change the eventual outcome.

There's no need to "pretend" WV and KY don't matter because they don't. If it makes you feel any better, Oregon won't matter either. The race has been decided and we're just running out the clock.

Awww so cute, trying to bait me. lol. No, I didn't abandon anything. I simply didn't feel like talking to you about it anymore, and I won't after this, though it is amusing how you are trying to frame the matter. I guess playing to the crowd is your thing.

KStone gets tired of talking about whether race is the only reason Obama is beating Hillary 90-10% right ... right after I post a link showing her likeability among African Americans has plummeted since last year. How convenient.

By the way, did you really “laugh out loud” or do you post that for pizzazz? Inquiring minds want to know.

Anyway, we don't "disagree". I'm right and you are wrong. The funny thing is that most black people who vote for Obama will proudly affirm my sentiment. You hear it all over black media and in black churches, barbershops, beauty parlors and other meeting places. They are not busy trying to keep up an internet debate going and at this point neither am I, but hey, if you want to continue to engage in banal talking points and chattering class musings, feel free.

KStone accuses me of engaging in “chattering class musings” … immediately after telling me what blacks are talking about in traditional negro meeting places like the barbershop. At least according to the chattering classes on TV. Classic!

Then why are you pretending? It's simple. If they count toward the total(s), then they matter regardless of whether they will change the final outcome. Now, how you feel about that is between you and your shrink and it's not my problem.

I guess you're right KStone. The results of WV and KS "matter," if by mattering you mean they’ll affect the final delegate count in an insignificant way.

I notice how you keep trying to reframe my argument (in this case changing main reason to only reason) and it's kind of amateurish and lame.

You insist over and over that Obama is winning 90% of the black vote because of race and you throw a petulent little temper tantrum when I suggest the Clintons' campaigning style has something to do with it. Now you tell me it's not all about race.

How could I reframe your argument when you don't have one?

"Likability", huh? Yeah, as Obama became more viable, blacks "liked" Clinton less. What a remarkable coincidence.

Yes KStone, near 40% of black people who once liked Hillary have decided they don't like her anymore, because they couldn't deal with liking two candidates but voting for one over the other. More of that nuanced analysis we've come to love.

I tell you what. You continue to tell me about black people, spout Obama talking points, engage in chattering class musings (apparently you don't what that means) and I'll continue to talk to, listen to and live amongst black people. It is strange that you have a problem with the fact that most blacks are voting for Obama primarily because of the first black symbolism when those blacks don't have a problem with it at all. I'll tell folks that you're offended and insulted on their behalf. They won't care at all, but hopefully, that will make you feel better.

Thank you KStone, for visiting all those traditional negro meeting places and reporting back on what you've learned from those noble savages. We don't have the black folk here in Philadelphia so I appreciate you sharing your wisdom.

    Dope.
